"So let me get this straight. You, and Luffy, were both at the War of the Best at Marineford?" Nami asked.

"Yup."

"And Ace did die?"

I winced as her question brought up images of my reoccurring nightmare, "yup."

"And you brought him back to life??"

"Yup."

"And now he's a Succubus like you??"

"Maybe? Sabo mentioned that he's probably more like an Incubus, but I don't really understand what that means," I admitted.

"You've been mentioning that guys name for awhile now," Sanji pointed out around his cigarette. "That's the other brother you've been talking about?"

"Yup! Luffy thought he died when they were kids but turns out he just lost his memories."

"Did you tell Luffy that?"

I smiled sheepishly, "I forgot."

Nami let out a deep sigh, "jeez...do you know how worried we were about you two? When I heard the news, the only thing I could think about was how much you guys needed us, and we couldn't be there to help you."

"Sorry...we don't really like talking about it," I admitted. "He's alive now...but—"

"We know," Sanji interrupted me. "It's the nightmares, isn't it?"

"Yeah," I nodded with a sigh. The boys have long since stopped questioning why I keep sneaking in their quarters on some nights. "Ace is having a hard time with it too."

"Still, that's amazing, Hana," Chopper said with awe. "To completely resurrect someone from the dead, as a doctor, it's something I wish I could do." I grimaced at the thought.

"Chopper," Sanji started, "do you think that bringing someone back to life is such an easy thing to do?"

"What do you mean?" Nami asked.

Sanji took a long drag. "It's strange. Hana-chan basically said she could revive someone who died, which is something I'm sure would reassure anyone who has her with them. But why do I feel nothing but dread when I think about her doing it again?"

I had to smile. At one brief point, I was afraid that the crew would get careless with that knowledge. But, I quickly threw away the thought. They weren't those kinds of people.

"That's true...I feel it too." Nami said. She turned to me, "how did you do it?"

I shrugged, "I don't really know. But I had to give him a part of my soul."

"Ehh?!" Chopper shouted. "What does that mean?!"

"Who knows," I laughed easily. "I can't feel my soul with him anymore. He absorbed it and it's his now, so I don't think I have to worry about him dying anytime soon. But Rayleigh said I might've shortened my own life."

Sanji sighed. "I guess we're lucky that was all it took."

"I think so too," I admitted. "We only survived because Marco and his crew mates were there. To heal that kind of injury...if it were anyone else, we would have died." Ace had a hole the size of Akainu's huge fist straight through his chest. And healing that before I knew how to store energy meant that those injuries became mine. I would have died, and I wouldn't have been able to give back Ace's soul either.

"Marco? That's Whitebeards crew right?" Sanji asked.

"Yeah," I sighed dreamily as I thought of him. "I miss him."

Nami giggled, "damn girl, you slept with the 1st commander of the Whitebeard Pirates?"

I laughed, "Ace sure had a lot to say about that one."
