The first week of the second semester has just passed so academics occupy almost nothing yet on the students' plates.
However, on the contrary, as soon as the second semester started, both the soccer and cheer club got really busy. The members seem to be so serious in winning this year's Collegiate season.
Mina and Dahyun are currently on a study table below a huge tree near the open field. The council president is reading some books while the secretary is scribbling some music notes.
There are a few groups of students who are also having some picnic on one side of the vast green grass. The soccer team can be seen busy doing some drills on the far side. There are also some lone persons loitering in the benches around the jog path.
The atmosphere was so peaceful until it was disturbed by a loud ringing of a phone ringtone.
Both the council girls looked at each other first. Then, at the bag sitting on top of their table that has a Star Wars character keychain.
Mina stood up and fished out the source of the noise. When she was about to answer it, the call got cut off.
"Who was it?" Dahyun curiously asked.
"The screen went off before I was able to check." The council president tried pressing its buttons. "And it's phone is locked. The notification is also anonymously displayed from the lock screen so there is no way I can tell. I'll just ask Sana later at the dorms."
The council secretary simply nodded in acknowledgement and went back to scribbling on her notebook.
The cheer captain was afraid to run late to practice earlier. She decided to leave her bag with the two council girls while thinking that she could arrive faster to the gym without having a baggage to carry.
Dahyun and Mina's bench stayed peaceful again for about half an hour when this time, a soccer ball hit their table, startling the both of them.
Mina immediately glared at the direction where the ball came from. "What the—"
"Sorry!" A girl running towards the council members shouts. "I'm so sorry!" She breathlessly apologizes again after reaching the table, obviously trying to catch her breath.
"Oh!" Dahyun points at the new girl. "Aren't you... Jeongyeon's..."
"Oh! What a coincidence!" The girl chuckled and looked surprised for a moment. She smiles widely, proudly showing her bunny looking teeth. "Hello, Minari! Hello, Dahyun!"
Mina just looked at Dahyun, not seeming to recall the person in front of them. She then looks back at the new girl. She stares at her for a second before clearing her throat. "Umm... I'm sorry in advance but... do we— do I... know you?"
"Hey, Pres!" Dahyun playfully rolls her eyes and answers for the girl. "This is Chou Nayeon! Jeongyeon's girlfriend. Don't you recognize her from Jeong's pictures?"
"Ah— AHH." The council president politely bows. "So that's you? I'm really sorry! I— I only saw you in pictures so I wasn't able to remember your face that well." She smiles and extends her hand to offer a handshake. "Nice to meet you."
"Why?" Nayeon grins as she takes Mina's hand. "Was I so much prettier in person?"
"You are way beautiful." Dahyun winks at Jeongyeon's girlfriend who simply bursts into laughter with her.
"Hey, Kim Dahyun." Jeongyeon, who has stealthily sat on top of the study table and is now holding the soccer ball that flew in there earlier, suddenly speaks. "Who told you that you can hit on that bunny, huh? That one's off limits."
