Sana is currently on their dorm couch, lying on her stomach. She is silently busying her eyes by reading some notes from her iPad. All her books are scattered on the floor as her one and only roommate unfortunately occupied all the spaces in their one and only school provided desk that should be for two people.
On the other hand, Mina is making some review materials for one of her subjects. She is comfortably seated at their dorm's desk which is now laced with her sticky notes, worn out ruler, highlighters of different colors that almost surpassed the rainbow, and a lot more trivial things that only straight A+ students may understand.
Preliminary exams are just around the corner and the responsible students are starting to responsibly prepare for it.
The roommates have been in their own worlds for a while until the cheer captain suddenly stood up on her feet. "That's it! I am famished!"
Sana walks to their dorm cabinet and opens it, consecutively scanning some hanged clothes in the dresser area of the storage. Then, she pulled out an oversized jacket, swiftly putting it on top of her Betty Boop t-shirt.
All the while, Mina was just observing her roommate both in bewilderment and amusement in her face.
The cheer captain grins and looks at the council president. "I'm dropping by the cafeteria, see what comfort food I could get there because I'm starting to be stressed out by the upcoming exams. Books are certainly not my friends. Anyway, do you fancy anything in particular?"
"Seriously." Mina replied in a pretentiously annoyed voice. "How do you stay in shape with all the food you're taking in? It's unfair for us normal people, you know? We try so hard to be skinny."
Sana just playfully giggles in response.
"But since you asked..." Mina smiles widely. "Hmm... I think an iced coffee would be tempting right now."
"Got it!" Sana winks to her best friend and walks away to step out of the room, shutting the door behind her.
Then, a minute passed and the door to the girls' dorm room opened abruptly.
"Myoi Mina!" The cheer captain calls out in a yell.
"Oh." Mina who was in the middle of highlighting a line in her reviewer turns to her best friend, confused. "Why are you back already? Last time I checked, the cafeteria couldn't be that near from here. Well— unless you could jump from the third floor."
"Ugh!" Sana rolls her eyes and pops her head inside the room from the small opening of the door. "Are you sure you're letting me go out alone?"
"Huh?"
"Earlier, it was a test. I checked if you would let me journey to the dangerous cafeteria in the middle of the night all alone!"
Mina promptly chuckles at her roommate. "What are you talking about? It's just eight in the evening. There's no danger at eight PM."
"There is danger for a pretty girl like me!"
The council president teasingly smiles. "Then that makes two of us."
The cheer captain pouts like a kid. "I hate you!"
"No, you don't." The council president quickly replies and even laughs louder.
Sana starts to whine from the hallways as her roommate seems to not still be heeding her request. "Minaaaa... Please come with me!"
"Fine, fine." Mina then shook her head and flashed her gummy smile in surrender. "Okay. Just let me get my jacket, you coward baby."
"Yes!" Sana's laugh echoed the hallways in victory. "And did you just call me baby?"
The council president flatly mumbles. "I called you a coward."
