// Chapter Nine //

The moon shined brightly along the glass of the garden room, reflecting a soft light which caused the berry tree to seem like it was glowing under the moonlight.

Plantix stared at the tree in awe, only to feel a paw like hand be placed on her shoulder, she turned her head and locked eyes with the Nightcrawler. Who was staring back. It gave her a small lick on her cheek and she made a small chuckle, finding it ticklish. Plantix then rested her head against the Nightcrawler shoulder and the lizard-like goo wrapped one of its arms around the bushy/bug creature, staring up at the glowing tree with her.

It was just a peaceful night.. nothing could go wrong.. right?

Dr. Quinn walked through the facility with her hands behind her back. She felt herself grow hungry so she turned and begun to head to the cafe. The air in the cafe felt strangely.. cold-. It seemed like it was coming from the freezer. Dr. Quinn grew curious so she turned her direction towards the freezer and walked, staring at the far end of the freezer room and seeing the partly alive Cerberus conekat. Seems like the freezing cold was helping the cat fix itself. "Oooh~.. You'll come in handy now. ." Dr. Quinn went over to the halfway melted Conekat and it weakly looked up at her. The vanilla head made a faintly quiet meow while the strawberry and chocolate heads stayed silent.  "Don't worry darlings, I'll take good care of you.." Dr. Quinn gave the conekat the ability to follow by holding a bucket of ice cubes she had gotten from the freezer and slowly dumping some on the creature to keep it cold until it was no longer melted.

The Cerberus feline followed the doctor, leaving a trail of its ice cream. The Doctor had excellent plans for this creature.

The abandoned collar remained in the toxic rabbit area, no goos have bothered to go near it. Until deep, deep in the shadows a messy yet fluffy paw reached out and grabbed the collar, taking it back into the darkness. Only for the creature to step out and be a strange ghostly dog like creature with a shy yet cheerful expression, even if they were more messed up looking and part bone-ish like they were rotting away. Nuclear Rabbit stared. Only to move outta the Charems path.

The Charem walked out, part of its body being transparent. It was going to go hunt for the goo who had replaced it, but it still had a calm expression on its face.

The emerald hound and diamond hound were still asleep, their pup just wandered around the facility without the knowledge of its parents.

The pup had small spider legs out of its sides and 4 eyes like its father that had large pupils like its mother, the pup also had a shimmery teal coat,  its coat mimicking a blue tourmaline gemstone.

The pup was a fast runner and ran all around the facility, only to stop and stare through the glass of the nature room, seeing Plantix and Nightcrawler just being wholesome. The Pup climbed against the wall and started to travel into the garden, until it reached the bushes of flowers. The pup made smol barks and wagged its tail, playing with the flowers.

Plantix felt a strange shiver crawl down her spine and she turned to the bushes, seeing the pup. "Awe-. aren't you interesting..-" The flower bug walked over towards the pup, and it was extremely friendly towards her, having no aggression like its parents. Nightcrawler noticed this and couldn't help but make small growls of jealousy, before following.

The two goos spent a good hour or more playing with the pup, well.. Nightcrawler was simply admiring its dear Plantix. It was wholesome at first until they both heard growls, turning around.

There they saw two angry hounds. The Pup made happy barks and ran to its parents, its mother crouched down and opened their arms and the pup jumped in, licking and nuzzling them.

As the diamond hound got back up, holding their dear child, the emerald hound growled, his ears perking back. "You care to explain what you were doing with our child?." The Nightcrawler growled, becoming defensive. "Your /pup/ came into this garden uninvitedly and disturbed Plantix and I. So how about you shut your green ass up and go fuck off." The Emerald hound felt enraged hearing those words and lunged at the Nightcrawler. The two goos just had a giant fight while Plantix and the Diamond Hound just stared at one another. "Uh-. Are they normally like this?" The two spoke at once, not expecting that. The diamond hound made a growl and turned away from Plantix, already not liking her.

The Diamond Hound cradled their pup, swaying their tail until finally the goos were done fighting, both being defeated by the other. "Heh. . A worthy opponent.." Nightcrawler panted, chuckling after. The Emerald Hound nodded. "Mhm. . don't worry, we'll continue this fight." He turned away from Nightcrawler and nuzzled his lovely mate. The Diamond Hound made a soft bark, nuzzling their mate back.

And with that. The two hounds left the goos. Not even saying goodbye. However their pup made a small bark of a goodbye, and Plantix just waved at the pup.

But deep.. deep in the darkness. Some goo was watching.. its eyes were locked on the pup. It made a faint distorted growl and disappeared..
