Hope is now seven and Kayleigh is now 11, its been seven years since they have seen their dad and family. Hayleigh keeps reinsuring the pre teen that she is getting closer and closer to a cure, but she is slowly beginning to lose faith. Kayleigh has began to grown into a beautiful young lady, her baby fat starting to go as her long brown locks reaching her lower back, lips becoming more plumped, eyes lashes thickening, puberty begging to start.

Her weekly phone calls with her God father's and Uncle Carlisle and Aunt Esme still happen. Her phone call with Billy are now joined by his 9 year old Son Jacob, Charlie tells her about Bella even though she hasn't had the chance to speak to her yet and the Cullen's couple tell her about their family, telling her when she is older she can meet them in person. Billy began telling the Tales of the shifters, she knows they are true because of her mother journals but she soaks in all the information, the Cullen's couple have began to teach her about the cold ones, finding it easier as she already knows about the supernatural world, about their laws, abilities so forth.

She still practices her magic, becoming stronger after each session occasionally teaching Hope small spell here and there. Hayleigh knowing that the wolf temper will start to form soon has began to teach her about wolves, teaching things her mother might of missed out on. She has also began to teach her self defence, as a way of reliving her anger, hoping it will prevent her from breaking her curse due to her anger getting the better of her. Due to the girls being Tribrid's they are home schooled but Kayleigh always teaches Hope extra things she was taught by their family or helps her with her work, the siblings have an unbreakable bond.

Hayleigh left them with Grandma Mary with the promise of coming back with their family, but Kayleigh didn't hold out on that Hope. That night Hope woke up crying from a nightmare, Kayleigh comforted her sister and lulled her back to sleep with the bedtime story their dad told her every night when she was little and stayed with her till morning.

When Kayleigh woke up she found her self in Hope's bed alone and confused. She went down stairs and looked out of the window to see her dad and Hope coming up towards the house. She walked out in a daze, not knowing if it was real until Hope smiled and waved at her. Klaus looking up to where his youngest was looking couldn't help the tears that came into his eyes seeing how much his little wolf has grown. Realising that it was real Kayleigh ran out into the garden, bare footed in her shorts and baggy t-shirt crying out a "Dad" as she crashed into his arms like a koala, crying into his shoulder and he held her tightly, stroking her head like he did when she was just two years old, reinsuring her that he was their.

Kayleigh began to feel like she and her family couldn't catch a break. Was she cursed with more than the werewolf curse? The Hallow was after Hope, and after many problems they found a solution that the only way to protect Hope would to be to split the sprit into four immortal vampires. Why? Why did this have to happen? She just got her family back and she's losing them all over again, to never see them again to keep Hope safe. She understood but hasn't she lost enough?

The family split with the promise to the pre teen to call constantly. Hayleigh enrolled the girls to the Salvatore Boarding School for the young and gifted, but Kayleigh didn't feel like she fitted in. Always having to hide her self behind the second name Black deciding to take her God fathers name instead of Marshall, she was proud to be a Mikaelson, she didn't want to hide it but for her sisters protection she just got on with it. She had good grades as well as a rebellious streak, Hayleigh didn't lecture her too much, she knew Kayleigh was trying her best.

She didn't know what happened. One minute everything was fine, her daily phone calls with her dad suddenly stopped. Did she do something wrong? He promised he would always be there for her and wouldn't leave, yes he had to physically go but he didn't need to not be in contact. As the years pass she heard all about her Dad 'The mad Klaus' they called him, but she began to not care. Her rebellion became stronger, she began to drink, smoke, parting, got her self the nickname of the cold hearted bitch in school only caring about her sister Hope, everyone else received a glare if they wasn't family.
