"I can't believe the break is almost over," I groaned as I leaned my head on Draco's shoulder. We were sitting in our regular spot in the Great Hall by a fireplace. There were only two days left of the Christmas holiday. Hermione and I have been owling each other back and forth. She responded to my letter and gave me words of advice. However, I didn't really need those words because Draco and I figured everything out.
"I don't want it to be over, I want to spend more with you," Draco replied, laying his head on mine and interlocking our fingers. "I wish you could sleep in my dorm, I'm the only Slytherin in the Castle," Draco added. I looked at him with a weird yet playful look. When he saw my face he knew what I was thinking. "Get your mind out of the gutter, not like that," Draco chuckled. "I'm kidding, I know what you meant." I smiled lightly. "Dumbledore would never let us, though," I frowned. "So let's not tell anyone," Draco smirked. "We're going to get in trouble," I told him. "So what? What are the teachers going to do? You're Snape's daughter and I'm a Malfoy. Do you know how much power we have?" Draco was now standing up and in front of me.
"Exactly, I'm Snape's daughter. If he finds out he'll be absolutely pissed," I told Draco. "No he won't, he loves me," He said. "You're crazy," I said. "Crazy about you," He then said and kissed my lips, making me smile. "If we're going to do this then I want Snape's permission," I told Draco. "Fine, only because I love you," He agreed, leaning in for another kiss. "I love you too, now let's go," I stood up, avoiding his lips, and started leaving the Great Hall.
"I can't believe you left me," Draco said as he came scurrying over to me. "I just wanted a kiss," He added with a frown. "I know. But if you want to have a sleepover in the Slytherin common we need someone's permission. It's already three o'clock so we need to hurry up," I told him, walking in the direction of Snape's office. "You're amazing, you know that, right?" Draco said to me, locking our fingers together. "Thank you, you are too," I smiled at him.
Draco and I walked to the dungeons and to Snape's office. We knocked on the door and he opened it after a few moments. "What are the two of you doing here?" He asked. "That's no way to greet your daughter and her bo- uh, best friend ever," Draco said jokingly. "I know you two are dating, it is disgustingly obvious, and I didn't give you both a warm welcome because there are people in my office," Snape told us in a quieter voice.
I looked past him and saw a familiar pink outfit, realizing it was Umbridge. Beside her I think I saw Dumbledore's robes, I am not a hundred percent sure, however. "Oh, sorry, we didn't know. We can come back later?" I said to Snape. "No, it's fine. What would you like?" He asked. "We were wondering-" Draco started. "It's cool if you say no, by the way. We would understand," I added quickly. "If y/n could sleep in the Slytherin common room tonight? Since I'm the only Slytherin here," Draco asked. "Um, sure, why not?" Snape shrugged. I looked at him in disbelief.
"Really? I thought you were going to say no?" I questioned. "Draco can't even say he's your boyfriend, I highly doubt the two of you will do things you're not supposed to," Snape said which caused Draco and I to cringe. "Besides, you both are good students, and I trust you," He added. "Thank you, professor," Draco thanked him. " Yeah, thank you, dad," I smiled softly at him and he smiled back.
Draco and I were sent away once Dumbledore asked who was at the door, not wanting to get caught. "Let's go to the Gryffindor common room so I can pack a few things," I suggested to Draco which he agreed to. We hurried over to my common room. I said the passwords to the Fat Lady and made Draco wait outside. The rest of the Gryffindors, Harry, Dean and the Weasleys, were sitting on the couches, talking, and stopped when I walked in.
"Don't mind me, keep on talking," I said as I walked past them to go to my dorm. I walked up the stairs and went into the year five girls dorm's and packed clothes as well as other essentials in my suitcase then went back downstairs. "Where are you going?" Harry asked me in confusion. "Good question," I answered without looking at him, opening the door and stepping out of the common room, feeling eyes on me.
