I was put off of night patrol for the next few weeks until Madam Pomfrey gave me the 'A okay', so another Gryffindor took my position, and that person was Hermione. She kept mentioning how she felt so terrible for taking my spot and I kept reassuring her that it was fine and wasn't permanent.

Draco and I are on better terms now and we have sorted everything out. Although he isn't too thrilled that Hermione knows that we are friends but I think he can live with it.

Umbridge keeps giving me sh*t for the smallest things. For example, one class I dropped my quill on the ground while we were having a small quiz and she yelled at me saying that I can't be throwing things around the room especially when we were having a quiz. Then she took away 10 house points for Gryffindor.

Near the end of November, Professor Dumbledore, McGonagall and Snape as well as Hagrid requested that the Prefects came out of last period early to discuss plans for an upcoming ball that we were going to have the day before Christmas break. Us Prefects and Hagrid were assigned tasks for the Ball in order to get it ready. We were going to start gathering supplies and whatnot sometime during the first week of December, bright and early in the mornings. Madam Pomfrey said that I should be okay by then.

I was excited about the ball. The one last year was a total nightmare with our whole group getting mad at each other. I had to choose someone's side: Hermione's or Ron's. I didn't choose either and none of us talked to each other for at least a week. Hopefully this one turns out better.

There were 24 of us and we were put into six different groups with four different people, depending on house and year. In my group it was Harry, Daphne, Draco and me. There are so many ways this could go wrong.

"I can't believe we have to work with the mudblood. At least Harry is good-looking," I heard Daphne say to Draco one day when we were making hand-crafted decorations. She wasn't very quiet about it. Harry was standing right beside me and looked at them with disgust and anger. "I can't believe we have to work with them," Harry said to me in a quieter voice than what Daphne used.

Both Draco and I glanced at each other, both of us knowing that this was going to be a long three weeks.

"Hey, Dracy? Maybe do you wanna go to the dance with me?" Daphne was standing behind Draco then wrapped her arms around his neck and rested her chin on his shoulder. He quickly shrugged her off and said, "I'm going to have to think about it. There's going to be loads of people who want to take me."

"He seriously needs to get his ego checked," Harry commented on what we had just heard "Honestly," I agreed. "But no one is as perfect for you as me," Daphne pouted. "That is where you're mistaken," He smirked. "Fine," She huffed. "I'll get Blaise to take me then," She added.

I laughed a little too loud at that and she turned and looked at me."Is there something funny, Dursley?" Daphne asked harshly. "Well, I just find it funny how you expect people to go out with you," I told her. "And what's that supposed to mean?" She crossed her arms and looked at me with sass. "You're so stuck up that you think every guy at this school wants to date you even though you're a selfish, self-absorbed little b*tch," I said truthfully.

"How dare you say that to me?" She asked, offended. "Well it's not far from the truth," Harry chirped in. "It's not like either of you could pull any man or woman. You, Dursley are a mudblood and everyone thinks that you're cursed, Potter," She said angrily. "Says the girl who called Harry 'good looking' a minute ago," I said. "I did not!" Daphne shrieked. "You actually did," Draco then said then looked at me which made me smile lightly. "Stay out of this, Malfoy," Harry then said which kind of ruined the moment. "Okay," He simply said before returning to the craft.

"What's going on here?" Professor Snape came over to our table and asked. "It's those two, sir," Daphne pointed at Harry and I. "Potter what did you do?" Snape questioned. "Nothing, sir! Daphne was just-" Harry tried explaining. "Dursley what happened?" He then asked me. "Well, sir, Daphne was being a bit distracting and not doing anything to help out so-" I was cut off. "She said some really horrible things to me," Daphne whined. "Do not interrupt others when they are speaking, Miss. Greengrass," Snape told her. "Yes, sir. Sorry, sir," Daphne bowed slightly which made me almost laugh out loud. "Don't say sorry to me, say it to Mrs. Dursley," He then said. Daphne did the same thing to me: A sorry and a bow. She's more visibly afraid of Snape than Neville is.
