"What else would I mean, ze~?" Marisa scoffed, smirking. "We wear our swimsuits and bathing suits, of course!"

Swimsuits...

Reimu Hakurei felt the reoccurring sand that brushed against her feet, along with the ocean waters that come and go in great waves almost every once in a while. She glanced at the ocean itself in the distance afar.

So, it is a real ocean we can swim in, Reimu realized, her thoughts confirming. Still...

Her gaze lifted from the ocean to down at herself. She was, indeed, wearing a kind of swimsuit. It was designed in red frills and revealed a bit of feminine cleavage. She still had her ribbon on the back of her head though.

I-I'm not... really used to this at all... Reimu thought pallidly at her attire.

A flustered blush tinted almost all over her face, and she shut her eyes tight, giving a light shake of her head in embarrassment. W-Well, whatever... at least now I'm not too hot like earlier. I intended to swim for a bit, too.

She prepared to stretch a little before stepping into the water... only for a violent splash from the ocean waves nearby to splatter in her face and soak her instantly. Then she stood still, her expression darkened as a shadow befell over it.

"Come ON, Reimu! Get in the water already! It's so fun out here, ze~!"

". . ."

There was a bit of laughing after Marisa said that last part. Twitching slightly, Reimu slowly wiped off the wet from her face with her forearm.

She kept her arm on her face without a word, as she slowly walked towards the ocean at once. She glanced up a bit at the sunny sky, not even facing her magician friend who, too, wore a frilly black swimsuit of her own.

The blonde magician still wore her signature braid under the heat, pacing in the fresh ocean below. As soon as Marisa saw Reimu covering her face, she started to feel a bit confused.

"What's wrong, Reimu? Got the sun in your eyes, ze~?" Marisa asked, puzzled.

"Hey, Marisa..." Reimu finally inquired, and by the last minute her eyes peek over her arm, glaring back at her blonde friend. She gave her a dead eye. "...have you ever heard of a danmaku fight while still in the ocean?"

Marisa blinked once. "...Huh? Well, there are a few youkai I've seen that use the help of water in their danmaku patterns. Like, for instance, the kappa! Although they really only use water from rivers, and much like similar other water youkai, and this is a big whole ocean..."

Afterwards, Marisa's gaze lit up as she recognized something. "Hey, wait a minute! We're supposed to be going for a relaxing swim, not fussing about youkai or danmaku! I could go for some danmaku, a bit anyways..."

"Wait, so this setting... This is basically like a celebration, or feast party? Instead here in the ocean, then?" Reimu mused, removing her arm from her face. "I see, but I still don't know where the hell we are."

"Well, duh, ze~! Did you just find that out? Me and that gap youkai have been saying stuff like how we can relax and swim around this whole time!" Marisa replied, almost throwing her hands up in defeat of her miko friend's oblivion.

"Eehh... I guess I can't really think straight, what with all this heat," Reimu sighed exasperatedly.

"Pfft, you do quite often complain about the heat, huh, ze~?" Marisa teased, beginning to chuckle at the other girl. "So the water pouring down you won't even be from this ocean at all, ze~! It would be from your sweat, from all this insufferable hea-"

Reimu didn't hesitate to bring up a wave of her arms and scatter a light splash of water at her blonde friend's face. Marisa flinched and yelped as she tried to shield herself from the splash with her arms.

"Whoa- HEY! What was that for, ze-?!" Marisa exclaimed.

"Hmph... I'd like to see how you deal with an incredibly hot day. WITHOUT going for a swim once in a while this time," Reimu huffed, frowning slightly.

"Yeah, well, I bet I'd be a better youkai exterminator who isn't an annoying, lazy ass all day!" Marisa laughed as she splashed water back at the shrine maiden.

"Hey-! S-Stop!" Reimu cried this time, then proceeded to splash at her again. Eventually both girls were splashing each other back and forth, like a little childish competition of theirs.

The two friends laughed and screamed, taunting and splashing each other, and actually playing and running around in the ocean waters.

However their momentary fun would just be interrupted when a large wave came heading closer to the sands. The large wave as a result impacted a big splash unto both girls as it passes through.

Dumbfounded but not as struck, they nearly fell over from the impact, and they shortly watched awkwardly with dripping hair and clothes as the big wave sprawled through the sands of the shoreline.

Nearby the shoreline stood Yukari Yakumo, who technically never left. She herself wore, if not a swimsuit, but a perfect beach dress and some sandals.

She held her iconic umbrella above her with a grin, watching the two friends before her—well, of course she was—as though to her this was simply entertainment.

Yukari greeted them hello with a light wave of her hand, to which both Reimu and Marisa sweatdropped awkwardly at the the casual scene.

H-How long was she just standing there, simply watching?... Reimu and Marisa pondered the exact same thoughts.

Soon enough both girls noticed that Yukari wasn't the only one standing there on the surface. Her fox shikigami, Ran Yakumo, appeared not to far away either, who seemed to be helping her own shikigami Chen with her swimsuit.

"There's more people, huh..." Marisa mentioned, then grinned again as she placed her hands on her hips. "More people, the more fun, then, ze~!"

"I guess it's a bit awkward even now for just the both of us alone here in this wide ocean to begin with." Reimu pointed out.

Especially with that gap hag creepily watching us over there like that, Reimu thought uneasily.

Reimu tilts her head puzzledly as she observed the surface a bit longer. "But... it's only Yukari's shikigami that ever even arrived here."

"The ghost princess and her gardener servant, too, ze~!" Marisa called out, gesturing out to Reimu a certain direction.

Marisa was right. A gap slit open from thin air, and Yuyuko Saigyouji along with Youmu Konpaku exited from said gap hole and fresh outside into the beach ocean. They, too, wore swimsuits of their own.

Reimu scoffed lightly, smirking a bit teasingly with a raised eyebrow, as if the next statement she said wouldn't truly happen. "Who's next? The residents from the Scarlet Devil Mansion?"
