I cried in Riki's chest. I don't why I become too emotional. Maybe because of Riki's effort or maybe because... my birthday is also my parent's death anniversary?

Only Riki knows about this. I never opened up to anyone except him. He knew me too well. He even remembers my birthday which I didn't. He knew me more than myself. And I love him for that. He is like a brother to me.

"Stop crying. You'll get ugly than you already are," He joked to uplift my mood. I hit his chest and laugh at what he said. "Shut up!"

I stared at him thinking about how lucky I am to have a friend like him. I can't imagine my life without him. "But seriously... Thank you so so so much for this. I appreciate your effort," I sincerely said.

Riki messed my hair up. "I still have one surprise..." he smiled softly, "Surely, you'll love it."

"Really?" My eyes twinkle in excitement.

"Ahuh. I'll be right back. Just sit there and wait for my surprise." I nod my head and followed what he said. Riki left me here. I am patiently waiting for him while admiring the view.

"Mom... Dad, it's my birthday today," I whispered while looking up at the sky. I smiled softly reminiscing those past years when we celebrated my birthday together. I bit my lower lip to distract myself from crying but then I heard someone's footsteps behind me. I think Riki is back.

When I turn around I smiled at Riki but to my surprise, it was not Riki instead it was... Jay. He is holding a bouquet of red tulips with a handsome smile plastered on his face. What the hell is happening? Where is Riki? Why is Jay here?

"Surprise," Jay said.

I put my hand on my lip in shock. Jay went near me. He handed me the bouquet of tulips. He leaned over and whispered in my ear. "Happy Birthday, Kitten," He said then kissed me on the cheek.
