Liana never left Clark's place and the couple walk down the stairs and into the kitchen. Liana's in Clark's football jersey. Clark opens the fridge, grabs the orange juice, and pours it into two glasses. Clark smiles and says, "So, what are you in the mood for?" Liana smiles and says, "Oh, I'm in the mood. Just not for breakfast." Liana smiles at Clark and walks towards the door and Clark chuckles and says, "Liana... the bedroom's upstairs." Liana says, "I know. But the porch swing, it's out there." As Liana as her hand on the doorknob, Clark speeds over to her and turns her around and kisses her. Liana takes off Clark's shirt and Clark has his hands under the jersey grabbing Liana's ass and she pulls away from Clark and opens the door to see her dad. Liana says, "Dad?" Clark says, "General Lane." Then Lois and Lucy appear, and Liana says, "And, Lois, Lucy." Lois smiles and says, "Happy Turkey Day, sis." Lucy says, "Great! The whole Lane family's together for the holidays." Liana mumbles, "Oh, boy."
Later, Liana and Clark get dressed and are walking down the stairs and Liana's nervous. Clark says, "You don't have to be nervous, Liana, your dad just wants to spend time with you." Liana says, "I think he may be more interested in doing recon on you. I mean, Lois told me that he does it with all her boyfriends and Lucy's." Clark says, "Look, your dad's met me before." Liana says, "We weren't even a couple before, and I didn't even know I was Lane." Clark says, "I'll be fine." Liana says, "It is important to me that my dad likes you." Clark says, "And it's important to me that you are happy. There's nothing to worry about." Liana worriedly says, "Except maybe if he finds out that we're superheroes. Lois told me he hates superheroes." Liana walks away and goes into the kitchen to see her dad and Lois drinking coffee and Liana says, "Hey." Her dad says, "Ah, that's a good cup of coffee." Liana kisses her dad's cheek and says, "Make yourself at home, dad. You too, Lois." Her dad says, "Lucy's still upstairs unpacking. She could be all day." As Liana pours herself a cup of coffee, Clark walks over to her dad and says, "It's good to see you, sir." Her dad looks at him, nods, and says, "So... Not much has changed around here. Your mother still own the place?" Clark says, "It is in her name, but I--" Her dad cuts him off and says, "I see. You live in your mother's house. And you work in a basement. Is that correct?" Clark says, "Well, it is the bullpen at the "Daily Planet." I work side by side with Liana." Her dad says, "Ah. She seems to write more articles than you. What exactly do you do with your time, Clark?" Liana helps Clark out and says, "Dad, uh, Clark and I work together a lot. He just, uh, gives me the byline sometimes. That's just how sweet he is." Clark smiles and says, "We look after each other." Her dad says, "Good. Because if Liana is gonna be spending any time around here, I've had a look around, and there's a few things that are gonna have to be brought up to code." Her dad hands Clark a list and walks over to the sink and Clark jokingly says, "Like scrubbing the bathroom tile with a toothbrush?" Her dad says, "That's number 17 on the list." Clark looks at the list says, "You're not kidding." Lois says, "He never does." Their dad says, "Though I feel a little uncomfortable inspecting the enemy camp your mother is my major opposition in the Senate." Lois says, "Oh, does this mean you're finally running for office, daddy?" Their dad says, "Uh, no, sweetheart, I'm the senior military adviser on the new bill, the Vigilante Registration Act." Clark says, "And by vigilante, you mean..." Their dad says, "Vigilantes, weekend warriors in masks who run around inciting anarchy." Liana says, "Well, I don't think they incite anarchy. They stop crime and protect people." Their dad says, "And they commit acts of terrorism. Like the RAO tower in Metropolis blown to kingdom come. No evidence of explosives. You want to know why? Because one of them superfreaks did it." Lois wants to change the subject and says, "Hmm. You know what? Hey! Daddy, since we are pretending it's a holiday what say we make it official and... take a furlough from work?" Their dad ignores Lois, looks at Liana, and says, "Liana, do you know who the real heroes of the world are? The men and women of our armed forces. They have to enlist, go through background checks, training, through our rules be held accountable for their actions. People start believing in these so-called superheroes pretty soon the superheroes form cells start taking the law into their own hands. No, I will not let them compromise our national security. Mm." Liana looks at Lois since she knows that she's a part of the superheroes and she says, "Lois, what do you think?" Lois says, "I think we need some veggies with our starches. Baked or mashed?" Liana frowns when Lois doesn't back her up and she softly says, "Whatever dad wants." Liana walks out the room and Lois sighs. Later, Lois is cooking with the help of Liana, even though Liana's still upset with her. Lois says, "I'm gonna go check on Lucy." Liana nods and Lois walks up the stairs. Their dad is watching the game, when the news comes on and the reporter says, "We interrupt this scheduled program for breaking news. A fire has broken out at a refinery in Smallville and..." Clark comes in with groceries and he says, "They were out of cranberries." Liana steps in front of Clark and says, "The store must have had a fire sale, huh, Clark?" Liana nods her head to the tv, and the reporter continues to say, "...massive plume of thick black smoke billowing into the air. The firefighters are struggling to gain control..." Clark hands Liana the groceries and speeds out the room." Her dad says, "Where's Clark?" Liana says, "He forgot something in the truck." Her dad walks up to her and says, "Leave you holding the bags? What happened to being a gentleman, hmm?" Her dad takes the bags and the reporter on the tv says, "Update on the refinery blaze. The fire is out, thanks to The Blur." Her dad turns to the tv and says, "Hmm. Leave it to The Blur to turn a fire into a photo op." Clark walks in and says, "Found the cranberries. They were in the... truck." Liana sees soot on Clark, and she nervously smiles and says, "Where were they, honey, under the hood?" Liana wipes the soot off Clark's cheek and Liana turns toward her dad and he slowly nods. Clark's phone then rings and he says, "Excuse me." Clark walks away to take the call. Clark says, "Liana, I need to go chop some wood!" Later, Lucy walks into the barn and walks up the stairs with some lemonade to give to Clark and Clark says, "Lucy!" Lucy says, "Did I hear you up here talking to someone, Clark?" Clark says, "No. It's just me." Lucy says, "Good, 'cause I only brought one lemonade. I thought you could use the refreshment." Clark says, "Thanks." Lucy chuckles and says, "The general give you a list?" Clark says, "Yeah, I'm afraid so." Lucy says, "He likes to test our boyfriends. He's convinced they all have something to hide. So far no one's passed." Clark says, "I'll be the first." Lucy says, "Well, if anyone can do it, I'm sure you can. You've grown into quite a man in the past six years, Clark." Lucy's standing a little too close for Clark's liking and he says, "I'm sure your sisters could use your help." Lucy says, "I think I've earned a ten-minute break." Clark gestures his hand to signal Lucy to leave and she says, "Well, at least show me around the barn." Clark says, "There's really not much to see." Lucy grabs Clark's face and plants a kiss on Clark's lips and Liana and Lois walk in and see. Liana has a frown and says, "Really?" Clark says, "Liana, your sister just--" Lois cuts Clark off and says, "Ambushed you. Well, this has Lucy written all over it. In backstabbing bitch-berry lip gloss. You, come with me." Lois grabs Lucy's hand and they all walk out the barn and go to the porch. Lucy says, "Ow, Lois. Not so tight." Lois lets go of her wrist and Liana says, "So, what? You thought I would catch you two kissing and then, what, have a big fight with Clark?" Lucy says, "Liana, I..." Liana says, "Just save it." Liana walks off the porch and goes to the horse stables. Lois looks at Lucy shaking her head and says, "How could you do that to her? You know, the only reason that I am keeping you around is for dad. So, go make yourself useful and get us some ice." Lucy says, "There's ice in the freezer." Lois says, "Dad likes crushed." Lucy walks away and Lois goes to Liana to see her feeding the horses. Lois softly says, "Liana." Liana sighs and doesn't look towards Lois and says, "Why didn't you back me up? Why couldn't you stand up to dad? Unless you actually agree with his Vigilante Registration Act?" Lois says, "Liana, I am just trying to get through this holiday without a fight." Liana looks up at Lois and says, "Lois, you either agree with him or you don't." Lois says, "I don't. But this means something to the general so please do not make me choose sides." Liana says, "I thought you were somebody who stood up for what she believed in. And then when it comes to dad you do the same thing that he does you make your choices based on fear." Lois says, "Hey, you didn't grow up with the general like me and Lucy. You don't know what it's like to deal with a family for a really long time. All you have to answer to is yourself." Liana says, "Lois, I'm a super-powered hero and dad's hates what I do. How am I gonna convince him that I'm one of the good guys?" Lois says, "Wait, you're not thinking about telling him are you, because I got to tell you, that's a very bad idea." Liana says, "How? If I just tell him that I'm a part of the vigilantes he'll-- Lois cuts Liana off and says, "He'll arrest you. I'm sorry sis, but you can't. It's for your own protection." Liana sighs frustrated. Later, Liana gets the turkey out of the oven just as Clark walks in and she sighs and says, "I did everything I could to make today work. I dealt with my family. I helped The Blur, I helped cook and all I asked, the only thing you had to do was to deal with my dad for one day." Clark says, "Liana... Your dad had me investigated by the Pentagon. He has surveillance photos of me with Kara. She's in her costume. I think Lucy planted them in the loft." Lucy walks down the stairs with her stuff along with Lois and their dad and Lucy says, "I thought it would be a good idea if we all went to your place tonight, without Clark." Lucy grabs Lois's arm and says, "We'll meet you in the car, daddy." Their dad says, "Thank you, sweetheart." Lucy walks away dragging Lois with her and Lois mouth's I'm sorry. Liana sighs and her dad looks at her and says, "Come on, let's go." Liana grabs Clark's hand and says, "No." Her dad says, "That's an order, young lady." Liana says, "Can't we stay and work this out?" Her dad says, "There's nothing to work out. Your friend Clark is a dishonest man. And he has dangerous friends. And when the vigilantes try and take over this country with anarchy, he's gonna go down with them. So come on, now. Let's go." Liana stands her ground and says, "Then I guess you're gonna have to take me down also." Her dad angrily says, "I will not have my daughter being with a dangerous man. We are leaving, now!" Her dad grabs forcibly grabs her wrist and Liana says, "Dad, let me go!" As Clark goes to move toward the General and her dad says, "If you come near my daughter, I will have you under arrest." Liana looks at Clark and softly says, "It's okay." Her dad drags her out the house and releases her wrist and Liana gets into the car and as Lois goes to put her hand on her shoulder, Liana shrugs it off and Lois sighs because she knows her sister's upset. They all walk into her apartment and Liana says, "Please, dad, go back and talk to him. It's Clark, you know him." Her dad says, "I can't do that, Liana." Liana says, "Why?" Her dad says, "Because he's in league with masked vigilantes. When he finally pays the price for this, I do not want you to get hurt." Liana says, "Not all of your vigilantes are bad. Why do you have to go to Defcon 1? You haven't met a single one of them." Lucy says, "Liana, can you stop running damage control long enough to see we are just trying to protect you?" Liana says, "Back off, Lucky, or do you happen to have some compromising photos of me that you'd like to share with the class?" Their dad says, "Please. Both of you! Trust me, Clark is not who you think he is. Now, a couple calls to the NSA and we'll find out what he's hiding." Liana has tears in her eyes and says, "It doesn't matter! Because I love Clark. Everything you need to know about him is standing right in front of you. Talk to me. The only thing that matters is how I feel." Their dad says, "Liana--" Liana cuts her dad off and says, "I appreciate that you like straight talk so I will give it to you. I'm staying with Clark, and if you love me, you'll respect that." Tears roll down Liana's cheeks and Lucy walks forward and says, "Daddy, let's go. Come on, Lois." Lois doesn't move and says, "No, I'm staying." Lucy says, "Suit yourself." Lucy and their dad grab their stuff and they walk out the door. Liana cries and Lois pulls her sister in for a hug and says, "Hey, it's gonna be okay. I'm here for you and I always will be." Liana nods and sniffs. Then a missile comes in and Clark saves both Liana and Lois and speeds them to their dad and Lucy. Liana says, "Dad." Their dad sighs in relief and says, "Oh, my God! Oh!" Their dad pulls his three daughters in for a hug glad their safe. They then hear a whooshing sound and see The Blur's Symbol and Liana smiles. Their dad says, "The Blur saved both of your lives." Liana nods with a happy smile. Later, they're all back at the Kent farm and Liana and Lois are in the kitchen setting the table, when Lucy comes downstairs and says, "Guys, can we talk?" Liana says, "Well, that depends, can you form a sentence without lying to our face?" Lucy says, "I can't believe that I almost got you two killed." Liana says, "Well, my apartments destroyed and everything I had that was valuable to me is lost and gone forever." Lucy feels so guilty and says, "I'll replace everything you lost, Liana. I promise." Liana says, "That's the thing, you can't because some were pictures that I had of my family who I thought I could trust." Lucy grabs her bag and goes to leave, and Lois sighs and says, "Look, Lucy... we're not happy... that you went behind our backs... again. But... we do get trying to protect dad. Our larger-than-life hero needing someone to protect him? Who wouldn't want to do that?" Lucy sets her bag down and says, "I should have told you both what was going on." Liana and Lois both say, "Yeah." Lucy says, "But I thought that if... I helped dad on my own he's stop seeing me as..." Lois says, "The troublemaker? Okay, I know I came down on you pretty hard, Lu. But I think that part of me sort of liked the fact that you turned into the troublemaker because... I was finally able to be one of the good ones." Lucy says, "When you say it all out loud, it's just... Well, it sounds really exhausting." Lois smiles and says, "Yeah, I... I think we were so busy trying to be the perfect daughter that... we forgot how to be sisters." Lucy says, "No, Lois. You're a great sister. You both are." The three girls hug with smiles on their faces. Later, everyone sits at the table to eat with smiles on their faces and Liana's happy that everyone's getting along.
