Chapter 11: Icarus

It's the evening, Liana and Clark are riding their horses in the field because it's been a long time since they did that. They then take their horses back to the stables and Liana smiles and says, "It's been a long time since I've road Midnight with everything that's been going on." Clark nods and says, "I know, that's why I just wanted today to be just about us." Liana smiles and says, "Today was pretty great." Clark smiles and says, "The day's not over it yet." Liana says, "Oh, really? What else do you have plan?" Clark smiles and says, "It's a surprise. Meet me in the barn in five?" Liana smiles and says, "Okay." Clark walks out the stable and Liana brushes Midnight's hair and she says, "I bet you had more fun than me." Midnight neighs and Liana smiles. Then Liana walks into the barn to see the whole barn lit with candles and she sees Clark standing in the middle with a white rose in his hand and he smiles, and Liana says, "What's going on?" Clark says, "Liana, I have been in love with you since I was five and I've never loved anyone as much as I love you. I was so scared that you wouldn't accept me as an alien, but to find out you were just as scared as I was with your secret, made me fall in love with you even more. You understand me better than anyone and there's no one I'd rather spend my life with than you." Clark gets on his knee and opens a box with a ring inside and he smiles and says, "Will you marry me?" Liana has tears rolling down her cheeks and she says, "Yes." Clark smiles and places the ring on Liana's finger and Clark stands up and pulls Liana in for a passionate kiss.
