Eep suddenly jerked awake at the sound of an animal outside. He quietly hopped down from his ledge and peered out of the cave from the little holes around the boulder.

At first he didn't see anything, but then something bright flashed in his vision. A strange light peered into the cave and illuminated the ceiling.

Eep reached up and tried to catch the light but, he couldn't get it. He looked behind him and saw the light on the wall, and tried to grab it, but it kept moving. He looked like a cat trying to catch the light from a laser pointer.

The light moved over to Thunk and illuminated his face, and it looked like it went into his mouth.

Eep opened his mouth and tried to see if he could find the light, but it wasn't there.

He looked to the entrance of the cave and saw the light had moved out of the cave. Eep crawled over to the boulder and used his feet to push it slightly over, to give him just enough room to slip out.

Eep scanned the area and noticed the light running further away. Eep took a deep breath and slid his hand off the boulder and ran off after the light.

...

Eep jumped over rocks, and branches, and ran along the rock walls until he eventually came to a dead end. The light illuminated the wall in for fox him and revealed the shadows of two animal.

Eep panicked and threw a rock at the shadows and they disappeared. Eep looked up and noticed that the light was coming from the top of the cliff.

Eep climbed his way up and when he reached the top he crouched down and growled expecting there to be danger.

Instead, what he found was a flaming torch sitting upright in the middle of the ground.

Eep's stance relaxed and he slowly crawled his way over to the fire. Unbeknownst to him, two figures wearing animal heads saw him and crept up behind him.

Eep went to touch the fire but it flared out and he jumped back, making the creatures jump back as well.

Eep moved forward again, and the two figures watched him with curiosity. Eep reached out to touch the fire again, but noticed a presence behind him.

He turned and saw the two figures, and gasped, flipping them over his shoulder, knocking the torch over.

Eep picked up a big rock and went to hit them with it, but they raised their hands up in fear, making Eep pause when he saw they had human hands.

The figures slowly brought their hands up to their masks and removed them.

One of the figures was a skinny boy with shaggy black hair. He had animal skin pants, and shoes, and had paint on his arms and torso.

The other was a girl with (h/l) (h/c) hair, (s/c) skin, and beautiful (e/c) eyes. She wore animal skins too, and had furry boots covering her feet.

Eep looked at the two in shock, more specifically, the girl. She was the most beautiful thing he'd ever seen. She stared back up at him and have him a shy smile and tilted her head at him.
