Rion arrived in the voting lounge, he was sad that the friend he had just spent every moment of everyday with had just perished.
"I thought this would never happen again, that was the good thing about being stuck here for 17 years." I Samantha said.
"This has happened to y'all before too?" Jobe asked.
"Yeah, 3 times actually."
"I don't want to talk about that though." She replied.
"Rion, are you okay?" Karie asked.
"No."
Zach patted his back to comfort him.
"Well we've at least officially got through the first day."
Jobe said.
"It is time to go to the hotel you will be sleeping at for the next 2 days." Halave said.
"We didn't have hotels for the last 17 years, did they just magically appear or something?" Caleb said.
They followed Halave to the hotel they would be staying at while in this dimension. They arrived at the hotel greeted by a giant light up sign that said, Horror Hotel.
"Ha... so nice." Ella said.
The hotel looked familiar to Jobe, he felt like he had been there before. Then he saw some black vines that were growing on some parts of the floor and some parts of the wall. He remembered when he and his friends had come back from Cryptious' Museum. When came through a portal that opened right in front of the hotel that started it all, the same black vines that were growing around the place were the same ones from that day. He then ran outside and got a better view of it. Lightning struck, illuminating the sky and making the hotel more visible. It was the one he had once stayed at. Everything is connected. They were always meant to come here.
Halave led them to the weirdly large elevator that had enough space to fit all 12 of them. Halave pressed the button to the 13th floor, they then slowly rose and the door to the 13th floor opened. What was behind the elevator doors was a long hallway with rooms labeled with everybody's name.
"Everyone go to your rooms, the Watchers patrol the Hallways every night and if they see you, they will kill you." Halave said.
"What-"
Halave disappeared, leaving everyone very confused about what was going on. Everyone decided to go to their rooms.
"What do we do about clothes and showers?" Sophia asked.
"When you're here you don't get dirty. I don't know how, but you just don't. It just goes away once you wake up." Caleb said.
"Hm... weird." Ava said.
Everyone went to bed, preparing for tomorrow in their sleep. No one had dreams however, it was like time was different here. Life here wasn't like it was on Earth.
It was now day 2 of being in the Dark Realm. Everyone slowly woke up one by one. Everyone met up in the hallway. Caleb noticed that 3 of the guys were missing, Micheal, Jobe, and Jeremiah.
"Where is Jobe and Jeremiah and Micheal?" Ella asked.
"I don't know..." Samantha said. They checked the 3 missing boy's rooms. They were nowhere to be seen. They went down the elevator, being greeted by Halave as they stepped out of the doors on the first floor.
"Halave, do you know where Jobe and Michael and Jeremiah are?" Ella asked.
"No, I was down here last night." She answered.
She led the group outside to the voting lounge. There was a note card on the center table. Ava picked it up.
"Your 3 boy toys were snatched by Octia. She went through your rooms last night. Find her lair that is hidden somewhere in this place if you want them back." He read.
"Why didn't she pick any of us?" He yelled.
"Y'all are under age." Sophia said.
Everyone went to go find the lair where the boys were. Ava and Ella were looking around a mountain. They circled it a few times and just as they were about to turn around they saw a tunnel with spiderwebs all within it. That wasn't the only thing they saw however. There was a spider-woman crawling in the webbed tunnel. She had giant spider arms that stemmed from her back and eight eyes. She didn't have hands, all she had were 8 very long and sharp tentacles that helped her get around the webbed cave. She didn't have any hair, and she was wearing a red and gray dress that looked to be made out of a heavy-paper-mache material. On her face were two spider fangs that were used for eating. The "skin"on her body, if you could even call it that, was gray. She looked up, seeing Ava, Sophia, and Ella. The spider-woman hissed and quickly crawled out of the giant spider webs. They ran and she started to chase after them. They eventually arrived at the main area they had been at before.
"Go into the castle!" Ella yelled.
They ran into the purple castle. The spider woman was still chasing after them. They went onto the area with the different paths they went on earlier.
"Left!" Ella yelled
They took off onto the left path. They were running around this new place, slowly starting to realize that they were in the Death Valley Castle. They were a little bit disoriented by it but kept running. They stumbled across a room with a closet in it. They hid in there and locked the door from inside. Ava, Sophia, and Ella could still hear the monster rummaging the halls around them.
Hurdled up in a ball; panting from getting chased, Ella spoke.
"This sucks... huh?"
"What, that we're getting chased by a spider monster in this castle again?" Ava replied.
"No, it's just like... the one time you come visit us in a year this happens. We can't just have a regular reunion like everyone else in the world because some weird thing is always out for us!"
Ella ranted.
"I know right." Sophia added.
Ava hugged Ella and Sophia,
"I know... and I'm not gonna say this will never happen again, but I know that in the end we'll be okay. We always are" Ava said.
They got up after not being able to hear the monster anymore. Ella heard something coming from another room, she gestured for Ava and Ella to follow her as she tried to find the source of this strange sound. They walked for a while, Ella turned a corner that led outside. What she saw outside was something that never ever expected to see again. She saw the monsters that her and her friends had faced in Death Valley. Her and Ava were frozen as they saw the monsters all gathered around in a circle. What was even more unexpected was the woman who was floating in between the monster's circle. Pandora. They noticed however that they seemed to not be able to move. They were frozen in some type of glitch like-gray encapsulation. They ran back out of the castle, remembering that Jobe, Jeremiah, and Micheal were still trapped in that cave and that they needed to tell the others where they were to go help them.
"Guys!" Ava shouted.
The others had met up with each other after not finding Jobe, Jeremiah, and Michael.
"We found them!" Ella yelled.
"We need to go to them right now before the monster gets to them first! Follow us!" Ella said again.
They headed to the part of the mountain they saw the tunnel at.
"Crap, how are we gonna get past that thing." Sophia said.
"Some of us will need to distract her." Halave said.
"I can." Samantha said.
"Me too." Rion said.
"Guys! Me, Sophia, and Ava will go save them. They're our friends." Ella said.
"Okay, I guess..." Karie said.
They ran to the side of the cave, the others started making themselves known to the spider woman to distract her while they went in. They took off into the cave after the monster took off after the others.
Sophia got a stick on the floor of the cave to get some of the giant spider webs that were in there way down. They took some of the webbing down and headed down the cave. There they saw their friends. They were in web along the wall at the end of this cave. There was a slip of paper on the ground.
"The people along this web may be Octia's dinner for tonight, choose the person who's team you want to go into the death challenge to determine the person who takes their spot on her plate if you want to save them." Ava read.
"Uh... who should we choose?" She asked.
"Well one of the six of us in this room is gonna die." Sophia said.
"We can pick Micheal, I don't care that he's on my team I don't want any of you guys to die." Ava said.
Ella and Sophia didn't want Ava to go but she had never died before and she was a pro at surviving these things. They also knew Micheal the least so they thought that Ava could win and one of the smaller assists would be gone instead of a big asset.
"We choose Micheal!" Ella shouted.
The cave started to shake and the spider webs that their friends were stuck in started to unravel. They fell onto the ground.
The three boys were very disheveled.
"What's going on-"
"Quick y'all, we need to get out of here!" Sophia said.
They sped out of the cave as it collapsed behind them. As they got out of the cave, the spider woman Octia screamed as she saw her home being destroyed in front of her eyes.
"You IMBECILES!"
"Everybody run back to the voting lounge! That spider woman is after us!" They shouted. They ran back to the voting lounge and shut the door behind them so that Octia couldn't get them. Ella then broke the news that Ava and Micheal would be going into the challenge tonight.
"It said the team of whoever we picked would go into the death challenge so me and Micheal are going in tonight."
Micheal was mad, but knew he had no other choice. They went through the second door which was now unlocked after they had saved their friends from Octia's Cave.
As Ava and Micheal walked in, they immediately were engulfed by a sense of dread and despair. Around them was obsidian. The ground was made of it as well. There were red streaks in the obsidian everywhere that lit up the place. They arrived at the beginning of a parkour with lava under the platforms they needed to jump to. They both led to one big platform with a vile othat had a substance in it on top of the platform. A card was in between each of their parkour areas. Ava picked it up to read it.
"What is true? The substance in that vile will make Octia want to eat you, or the substance in the vile will make Octia repulsed by you and she will eat the person who doesn't drink it. Whoever gets to the top of the parkour first will see what fate has planned for them when they drink the vile. It may save your life, or it may kill you." She read.
They looked at each other in competition.
"Well I guess whoever drinks it first will find out." Ava said.
"Guess so." Micheal said.
Ava took off her heels and was barefoot as they both jumped onto the first platform at the same time. Octia was crawling on the walls with her eight legs, waiting to see who she would eat. There were eight platforms. Micheal was on the fourth one, and Ava was on the sixth one. She jumped to the next one and as she did she turned around to see Micheal was on the sixth one now. She got to the eighth one, and then to the big platform before Micheal could. Ava was super excited for her new chance at life. Micheal stared at her with wide eyes wondering what would happen to him when she drank the liquid in that vile. What would his fate be?
