Everything goes according to the book until they are out of the Spine! Where they come onto a small village that the Razara'c went through . Almost all the villagers have fled except for a very old man and a young woman Eragon's age . They stay the night witch the old man dies. Brom recognizes the girl as a well trained warrior and a potential Rider.
Note: the girl is Y/N!
So he invites her to join them in their journey . She agrees on one condition that she be allowed to ride Saphira from time to time! Shapira agrees to this because both her magic and animal instinct is telling her that she can trust Y/N . Things go on until they reach the village ransacked by Uragals and meet the two! Eragon uses his magic to kill one but before he passes out he thought he saw Y/N grow ears and a tail. But when he awakens he brushes it off as a hallucination. Brom is excited when he finds out that Y/N can use swords. Eragon in the meantime is starting to get the whisp of feelings for Y/N. When they reach the village where they get Conrac and Snowfire they also get a horse named Shadowfax
