Blissful Ballad

𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐲-𝐍𝐢𝐧𝐞

Just a few roads down from the fire-station Darcy is tending to her animals and her organic garden. Picking out weeds she sighs wiping her brow, standing up taking a look around her property. "I have so much here.. too much for one person.." smiling she takes her tools inside sitting at her laptop with a bit smile.

Not soon after, many people are coming to her compound-after she cleared the road in and made it less scary- to get fresh herbs and veggies and to pet the animals of course. Greeting a few people and handing them an empty basket Darcy smiles "Enjoy! Take as much as you need" looking around at her once empty compound she sighs with a smile realizing she's changing some lives for the better, making her feel accomplished and thankful.

Heading home after a long day Rudy thinks about his wife, Elanor as he arrives outside his home. Getting out he walks in "I'm home song bird" he says sweetly hanging up his coat and taking off his shoes. Walking through the house he realizes shes not home. Looking around the kitchen he sees a note. "Rudy, I just went to the store I'll be back around 3 Love, Elanor" smiling he puts down the note the calendar catching his attention. Seeing their anniversary is tomorrow he widens his eyes "Oh god, I almost forgot, how did I forget? It's the big one-zero" sighing he looks around the kitchen smiling creating a plan.

Hearing the door open he smiles greeting her at the door "Hey baby" she says sweetly giving him a peck on his cheek, going up on her toes a bit. Setting down a few paper bags she smiles hugging him tightly. "How was your day?" taking her hand and trailing her to the dinning room he pulls out a chair for her "The same as usual" acting casual he heads into the kitchen. "Rudy, what are you planning?" seeing the room all dressed up she smiles waiting for him to return.

Coming out with her favorite dinner dish- Salmon "Tada" he says sweetly as he sets it down in front of her. Gasping she looks at him with glee "Rudy, where did you get this? It's so hard to find Salmon anywhere in London" shrugging he sits down with her taking her hand with her ring on it. "I'm going to be honest with you song bird, I've been so busy with work that I don't have anything prepared for our anniversary tomorrow.. but to make it up I thought I'd cook you something special" seeing her smile he smiles back. "Rudy, this is why I married you. You're honest, kind and loving. You care so much about everyone around you. I don't need a fancy dress or a fancy dinner date tomorrow.. all I need is the man I married" feeling her reach over and caress his face he smiles. "I love you Elanor" smiling more she nods "I love you too Rudy" sharing a loving kiss the pair enjoy the night.

Heading to bed Rudy feels her graze his back with her hand passing by him in the bathroom into the bedroom making him smile. Brushing his teeth he looks in the mirror realizing the power of love they share knowing he wouldn't have it any other way.
