The day had started off in a peculiar way after you had shared your morning coffee with Hoseok at that expensive place and you had ended up starting your day with a slight impression that it's gonna be a day different from the rest, but ultimately you had gone through the same boring hours of lectures and by the end of it were feeling just as tired as any other day.
"How does that professor always ends up draining so much energy out of me? I feel like I will pass out." Yukio complained as she left her body slightly leaning on you while you were walking outside the university building.
"Me too, catch me," Lola added, letting her body weigh on you from the other side of your body, a thing that made you push them both off.
"Yah! Do you think I am someone strong enough to keep you both? We need to reach home tonight you know. To not mention that I am tired too. Who will carry me?!" You whined at your last question slightly wishing that Hoseok would appear out of somewhere and just get you home in a snap in some kinda way.
"Doesn't your boyfriend have a car? How about you call him and tell him to come to pick us up?!" Lola suggested full of enthusiasm, as judging from the last trip Hoseok had taken them all and how he had paid for everything, she was already imagining him pulling up with a luxury car.
"Well actually, not to break it to you girls, but Hoseok will be busy tonight." You had hesitated to reply and Yukio had beaten you to it, making you turn and give her a confused expression.
"Don't you remember? He had said that Jake had invited him to the club tonight. That's why he left the last lecture earlier too. Most likely to get ready." She read through your thoughts well and reminded you as she leaned closer to you.
"Clubbing? With the guys?... And you don't mind Y/N?" Lola raised an eyebrow at you as she spoke and you took a moment to question yourself, why were you supposed to have an issue with that?
"Well...now that I think about it...maybe I am a bit worried." You admitted as you imagined him trying to fit in and start dancing in some weird way because definitely, the dances he knows must be outdated. The more you thought about it the more you started realizing that there was a huge potential of him making a fool of himself and maybe even saying a bunch of weird things to Jake and his friends.
"If that's the case we can pass by that club and check on them from afar. Jake mentioned the address over the phone earlier when he was speaking with his friends on the phone." Yukio suggested and Lola nodded her head vigorously, showing her distrust in men in general.
"As long as they don't see us...I think it's not that bad of an Idea." You agreed, obviously not for the reasons Lola might have been assuming as you weren't even his girlfriend and you had no such reason to check on him. On the contrary actually, if he was to find some interest in any girl at that place, it could most likely benefit you. Love was the key to your freedom from him after all.
"I will get us a Taxi. Let's change before going through." Lola took out her phone and proceeded to make the reality of her words while you and Yukio just looked at each other, one uncertain about this and you just wishing that you wouldn't find him being a mess.
---Time skip---
You found yourself blinking once or twice in order to adjust your vision to the moving bright neon lights that were occupying the atmosphere while in your ears were blasting some Latin rhythms.
The place was packed. Wherever you were to lay your eyes on, you could see people. Some were dancing their hearts out with huge smiles on their faces and others were seated by the bar drinking their heart out. There were also a few that were passed out on the couches by the corners of the vast room.
"Yukio? I have never asked. Do you think Hoseok is fond of drinking?" You leaned close to her ear as she was standing at your left side, speaking to her your wonder.
"Back in those times most people used to hold their liquor well, so most likely he does like some good alcohol but I am not sure if he would end up being as drunk as those people." She spoke by your ear, referring to the ones you had seen by the corner after you had entered and you pulled back from her, finding her response not as reassuring as you would have liked it to be.
"Oh, girls! GIRLS! THEY ARE OVER THERE!" Lola raised her voice as much as she could in order for you two to hear her as she had taken some steps further while you were speaking and in her vision, had fallen Jake's head, at some distance away, close to the bar.
You followed after her as she waved at you, blindly for you had barely heard what she had actually tried to convey to you, but once you had gone further in, the sight of Jake with his friends, standing by the bar, fell to your sight.
"Woah they look super hype. I have never seen him so happy." Yukio commented at the side of your shoulder, as indeed Jake and his friends seemed to be looking towards the dance floor, with faces of awe and excitement that rarely anyone had managed to provoke on him.
"The sight must be impressive," Lola commented at the other side of your shoulder and with equal excitement rushed to get a bit closer in order to take a better look at what was that they were looking at, pulling you along with her as she had taken hold of your wrist and you hurried to take hold of Yukio, in order to make sure you don't get separated in this crowded place.
Once at a placement, you could see what was going on inside that circle of people, you found yourself in shock and at a loss for words. There was Hoseok, dancing elegantly and rather skillfully in the rhythms that you had thought would be foreign and uncomfortable for him. Dressed in those jeans he had been looking for the previous time at that window shop with the leather strips at his thighs and a white dress shirt that he had styled rather fashionably. The combination sure could have been considered rare but he was pulling it off incredibly well.
His dance moves had left you in awe momentarily as you couldn't help but admire the skills, as well as the effort for you couldn't help but assume that most likely he had spent the previous hours of this day, studying dances that he could have not known.
He sure picks up things way too fast and way too well. Other people could take a lifetime to look half as good as him.
You commented inwardly, as a sense of pride rose inside you for him. It was a nice and warm feeling that started fading off as an unknown girl approached him and started dancing with him.
Her dancing skills were pretty good, to the point that you heard Yukio question by your side if she was a professional dancer but you didn't focus much on that.
Strangely enough, your attention was getting stacked on some little things. The way her hips matched the rhythm of his movement, the close proximity of her body and the seductive language her whole presence was emitting. The way Hoseok smiled at her while removing his wet-ish-looking hair, revealing his forehead and the way he was letting his body flow around hers, while still maintaining a distance.
It was a sight that should have been making you happy, for he looked like he was having an interest in her and that was something that you could benefit from but for some reason, unconsciously, your facial expression was betraying the annoyance and bitterness that had started taking over you.
He was always an annoying trickster that was always sarcastic and smiled only to piss you off but at that very moment, his smile seemed joyful, fun and light. He was being entertained and that was pissing you off, each second more just by witnessing it.
That rug of a fox spirit. It's my fault I even worried about him. Tsk!
You thought to yourself as your eyes were staring at them, shooting fire and just as you had finished that sentence inwardly, Hoseok happened to turn his gaze and literally let it fall on you, noticing you.
The sudden eye contact got you by surprise but it also made you nervous, enough to instantly turn around and walk away.
Aish, he wasn't supposed to see us...now he will think I was stalking him or something.
You whined inwardly as you kept walking away until you felt a hand get hold of your wrist and turn you around, cutting your breath instantly.
As it had brought your face only an inch away from Hoseok's and a pair of eyes that were looking at yours rather intensely.
