The Maelstrom Heist

The three amigos were walking cautiously to The Maelstrom's hideout on a rainy night as Jackie expressed his disgust to V and Tommy as V thought they were just a gang like any other until Tommy explained it to her

"V, Maelstrom is one tricky vick let me tell you. Take the Valentinos, you know they value honor and stuff, you know what they want, what they like, and what pisses them off. Maelstrom? You don't know shit! One minute you're talking with them 'bout biz, next thing they'll put a bullet into your head for just looking at them!" V now grows cautious of the gang.

While V lets Maelstrom know they were there, Tommy had a quick smoke to ease himself as Jackie thought it'd be like that but knowing T? He's probably doing this for the aesthetic as he could see the smile on his face while staring blankly into space.

"If they go aggro on us, kill 'em all, got it?" Tommy asked as they nodded.

The garage door opens up as the boys follow V to the meet. Once inside, they saw that they also got turrets from the convoy they hit covering the entrance to kill any suspecting gang members wanting their turf. After heading into the building more and finally meeting some Maelstrom members, they head on up the building via a working elevator. Once arrive at a certain level the door opens to a Maelstrom member questioning their visit as V responds to the man that they're there to see Royce. The guy in front of them is Dum-Dum and wants them to answer him now. Dum-Dum wants them to sit down while they get the flathead so both V and Tommy sit down but Jackie doesn't want to. Dum-Dum orders him to sit down by shoving him a little as Jackie gets in front of Dum-Dum, towering over him and telling him to make him do it.

"Jacks, relax, sit down." Tommy said as Jackie reluctantly sit down, saying it'll all go to shit.

Dum-Dum wants to release the tension by offering some kind of drug to both V and Tommy. V asked what's he smoking as he took a puff. He explained that it's Pure S-Keef or Black Lace as it's formerly known and V pointed out that it's tough for anyone to get their hands on it so Dum-Dum must have a good source.

"What's it do?" Jackie asked V out of curiosity.

"Ups 'dorphs and adrenaline to the point you feel no pain. Trip's so intense it verges on psychosis. Corps fed it to their fighting legions during the Corp Wars." she explained

"Cyberpsychos pop the tabs like candy. Vaporizing it mellows the burn without killing any of the effect." Dum-Dum added

"C'MON! Give it a whirl!" he insisted.

Although V passed on the drugs, Tommy wanted to try it and so he did.

"WOOOH! That's the shit dude! Nice!" He said in excitement.

"I fuckin' know right! That shit is awesome as hell!" Dum-Dum agreed.

Then, a Maelstrom member carrying a box, presumably having the Flathead, puts it on the table as they discuss business. V asks if Militech aren't coming to look for it.

"Fuck 'em! They can hop around and try! We removed the serial numbers and lifted access locks using our soft. Once it's yours, it's yours." he guarantees.

"Need to see it." V said as Tommy played around with his Nova, not paying attention while the Maelstrom were alarmed when Tommy pulled his piece out.

"Relax! He does this a lot. Likes to play with dangerous shit in a serious time." She said while trying to scold him but it didn't bother him that much.

Dum-Dum then shows the Flathead to them as it's fully operation and pimped out. Prototype actuators made of titanium-vanadium Kevlar composite with fully integrated links. They were about to strike a deal when Royce barged in, iron in hand, and pointed to V's head as the other members pointed their iron to Jackie and Tommy as Tommy didn't even bother to pay attention.
