I never did get lectured by dad, he actually seemed to think it was pretty cool. Pops on the other hand fussed all over me and my injuries. He even called Endeavor to scold him for doing such a bad job at keeping up with his interns. He got hung up on of course, but at least he tried.
Today we go back to school, we arrive late, but it's okay. Everyone is talking about their internships, a small group is on the subject of our... incident. "Alright class, to your seats." Dad says of course we have a long home room today, we have to write on our internships and how they affected us. Iida, Midoriya, Todoroki, and I all exchange looks. We all subtly hold up our hand scars, save for Todoroki. He looks extremely guilty, I hold back my laughter before giving him a reassuring smile.
After a few more classes its time for basic hero training. "I AM HERE... And the reason for that, is your basic hero training. It's been a while boys and girls, how is everyone?" He asked, I was expecting a flashier entrance, so did many of my other classmates, Hagakure suggested that he'd run out of shticks. "As an immediate follow-up to your internships, this next activity is a playful one. A RESCUE TRAINING RACE!" He exclaims, he explains that he will send a help signal out from somewhere in field gamma. Three teams of five and one team of six will go one at a time to rescue him, first one there wins.
The first team is Ida, Ashido, Ojiro, Sero and Midoriya. Midoriya takes off at an incredible speed, moving around a bit like Bakugo. I look over at Bakugo, he does not seem pleased by this in the slightest. Sero won that round. I race against Bakugo, Mineta, Tokoyami, and Kaminari. We start, and I focus really hard, I've extended my time a bit while at Endeavor's internship. I manage to move myself from one building to another pretty quickly, although not as quick as Bakugo. He wins in the end and I come in second. All Might praises us all for our tremendous growth. As the others turn around, I look back at All Might. "You did great, you've come far!" He thinks to me, I smile and thank him.
We go to the locker-room to change. I hate changing in front of people. My scar is my biggest insecurity. I go to a restroom stall to change, it's a bit tight but it'll so. I walk out and Jiro seems disturbed by something, then I hear it too, Mineta. He's drooling over every girl including me, I look to see a peep-hole on the wall. "Jiro, there, you can get his eye." I suggest, she walks close to the wall and laces an ear lobe through the wall, not long after a cry of pain was heard from the other side of the wall. We all sigh in relief, I give a satisfied smirk. I look at her, "I'm the only one he didn't mention..." She thinks to herself while the other girls comment on Mineta's lewd thinking. "I think you're beautiful, besides who wants his approval anyway, he's a pervert." I say quietly, she smiles at me, a bit perplexed.
Jiro and I walk to class together, joking, and still laughing over the fact that she stabbed Mineta with her ear. When we get to class, I notice that Midoriya is missing, he walks in a bit late. I shrug, I wonder what he's up to, being late is not like him. "You'll be doing a summer training camp in the woods!" Dad announces, I smile, I love camp. Then again this is dad we're talking about, so I decide to be cautiously excited. Dad then announces that whoever fails the upcoming exams will be stuck in summer school. I rank 4/21 for grades, but just to be sure I'd like to study.
A week before exams
Momo has offered to tutor literally everyone in the class. Bakugo (3/21) offers to tutor as well, so, I put my help on the line too. At lunch we're talking about the physical exams, when Monoma from class 1-B bumps into Midoriya's head and dosen't apologize. "Hey, apologize now!" I say, Bakugo, who is sitting directly behind him speaks up. "Calm down anger issues." He says in his usual tone, "Like you can talk." I mumble under my breath, Monoma starts talking about our run in with Stain, saying he's scared our antics are going to transfer to class B. "Thats not funny did you hear what happened to Iida?" Kendo, from class 1-B, says. She chops the pressure point on the neck and Monoma passes out. I can't help but laugh.
"I overheard you guys saying you weren't sure about the practical exam, I heard it will be robots, like the entrance exam." She says all serious-like, I make a mental note of that. "How'd you know?" Midoriya asks, Kendo just shrugs. "I heard it from some of the older students." I nod and it helps me feel more confident. "Has your dad told you anything Homage?" I look up at Uraraka and shake my head. "No. I feel like you guys are under the impression that he goes easy on me. I feel like you guys need to get that impression out of your head. He absolutely does not." I say sighing, she nods. "All I can say is train up your quirks too, he's been putting me through some quirk training recently, I'm not sure if it's just because of the recent events, or if it's because that's a big part of the exam."
We all start some intense training. I study until I can't stay awake, which I get scolded for by Dad later. I train with Dad until my bones ache and my head feels like it's going to explode. I tutor until my classmates fall asleep from boredom. Particularly Kaminari. Before I know it the week has flown by, before I know it the final exam arrives.
