—yuri wishes she could've saved her in time.
-
In cursive writing, Yuri finished folding over the paper and silently chuckled. She took it and looked at the front, waiting for the perfect time to throw it when her teacher wasn't looking.
When that moment came, she did her best to aim and prayed the paper made it to its destined location.
Fortunately it did and she even managed to hit the back of her target's head.
Yena turned quickly and eyed her, giving her a playful glare and head shake before reaching down to the floor, retrieving the paper in her hand.
Yuri only giggled and pretending to pay attention to whatever her teacher was saying. She had lost interest a long time ago when he began talking about how to solve proofs and all the steps needed.
- why do you like me? -
- Simple because we both love the smiths and plus your smile is really pretty :) -
With skill, Yena managed to throw the paper back at Yuri after writing her response.
The younger received it with a smile and it only grew wider when she read what the older had jotted down. She shook her head and didn't waste time to write something else down.
They spent the whole hour just continuously throwing that same paper back and forth.
- real funny. didn't answer my question dipshit -
- Well let me take you on a date then 'dipshit' :) -
- okay -
- Cool see you tonight? :) -
Beside that was a heart, drawn but scratched out, probably from Yena overthinking it. Yuri smiled at it and before she wrote back to the older girl, she glanced at her. Her smile only free fonder and she knew she looked like an idiot in love as she gazed at her.
- see you too♡ -

Yena always had a habit of making the dots of her "i's" so huge and she never forgot to end her sentences with a smile.
God, Yuri missed receiving little notes in the middle of class — only for the older to get called out and forced to read them out loud. It was cute though; seeing Yena turn red and she read about how much she loved Yuri and wanted to hold hands again.
She remembers those late nights where Yena would stay over and they would stay up until ungodly hours, just doodling on each other's arms and blasting The Smiths.
Yuri wishes she knew.
Young love is so pure. But also tragic.
It's both of those and more but she would do anything to go back to it.
She'd do anything to hold Yena's hand one more time and pass more notes to her in Geometry.
Anything to love her and realize in time because maybe then, she could've saved her.
—End.
