I was thinking more about how Sae in general handles situations and her "mental status"

So I definitely think from a young age due to her family she has always been very sensitive to stress and anxiety. But as she grew up clearly no one knew about mental health problems back then so she saw it as a weakness. She has had multiple small panic attacks before but she has no idea why they happened and that they are normal. When really bad things happened to her family and friends she gets migraines every time she starts to get stressed and she despises it. So her judgement can be 50/50 cause she has to juggle the conflict, and very bad head pain.

But she usually pushes past the pain and tries her best to be neutral and defuse things quickly for the benefit of her family.

And due to pushing back these problems she has, she often tends to ignore her health and overwork herself. People she knows often joke on how she looks "dead" half of the time they see her. Others often encouraging her and reminding her to get rest.

Does she probably have a stress or anxiety disorder? Yes, I would think. But due to the terrible knowledge of mental health during this time period, she isn't diagnosed nor does she bring up any of her issues to doctors. Because she clearly knows nothing about and ignores it.

Salem came back into town after two days and ran into the Fantoni siblings at the telegram station. Before she could even check her telegrams Dani yelled her name and waved. The siblings approached Sae with slight smiles.

But after greeting eachother both of their smilies turned into frowns when Sae asked if she missed anything important. Sae followed them back to the house and they talked on the porch.

They slowly explained what happened two days ago. Sae's eyes widened and her eyebrows furrowed as Leo continued to talk.

Sam's Club. The duel with Oliver and Bass. Oliver loosing and getting shot down on the traintracks. And now him being in a coma on top of Mount Hagen.

Sae was speechless. She felt as if someone knocked her over the head as she felt her ears ring and her forehead throb while she sat the on the porch. She despised always getting headaches when she was overly emotional. It happened every time. Almost to the point where she could drop to the floor at any moment.
