2019

It was a cold and dark night and it just started to snow. The moon was as bright as a flashlight up in the sky, shining calm light down on the city. Today was the last day of U.A. until winter break. Everyone was coming late home from work, kids were staying up late watching movies with friends celebrating the time they had off. Teachers were also celebrating getting away from their students, maybe even going out for a couple drinks.

Shoto stayed a while at school to do some homework. And, he really just wanted some time alone to watch the snow. It was about 7pm, everyone left a couple hours ago. Including Aizawa who stopped and asked his student if he was okay and heading to the dorms soon. After getting an answer he packed up his things and left. Many students and teachers were staying late as well to get caught up on work, so Shoto was not the only one left if the building.

He put down his pencil and leaned back in his chair sighing. The atmosphere was quiet. He turned to his left to look out the window next to him. He watched as the snow fell down softly. Not harsh winds to make it a blizzard, but just slow and calm.

It had been a hard couple of months for Shoto, personally. One of his very close friends quit UA with no warning. Just gone like a snow flake. Bright and beautiful but suddenly vanishes out of no where. He didn't understand why he quit. This boy was so determined and strong. He was sweet, smart, brave, gentle. And oh how adorable he was. Shoto felt all the stress and anxiety melt away when he looked at him. His smile could light up a whole room. His dark emerald eyes would make Shoto get lost in them for hours and hours. The way they sparkled with energy and kindness. Shoto wasn't the most social person in the class, and just in general. But he really did feel comfortable around the boy. He couldn't help but break a smile every time he saw the boy run up to him with a bounce in his step. The class didn't seem the same without him either. Todoroki was still good friends with Iida, and Uraraka. Kirishima even talked to him sometimes. Hell, Bakugo seemed to be affected as well. Shoto knew that they were childhood friends but he didn't know that Bakugo would even care that he was gone. But he did. The other students took it hard as well, even though Todoroki didn't talk much, he could still see the change in their personality's. It just wasn't the same.

He put his head down, trying to forget these memories. He'd never see this boy again so what was the point of keeping the memories with him? It was useless. It hurt too much.

Shoto stood up and gathered his things into his bag. He pushed in his chair and made his way out of the classroom, giving one last glance at the seat where his once called friend used to sit. 'You need to move on. He's not here anymore.' Shoto thought. He shut off the lights and closed the door.

He made his way down the quiet streets of the city. The snow was falling down but in a way where it was peaceful to watch and walk through. Not many people were out and some cars pasted by. Shoto checked his watch and read 8pm. He walked the dimly lit up sidewalks, snow falling onto his pulled up hood.

His phone buzzed in his pocket. He took it out and saw that it was from Kirishima.
~Hey bro! everyone's wondering where you are. The class wants to throw a winter break party so get here soon!~
Shoto took a short cut down an alleyway and continued walking and looking at his phone. His cold fingers typed away at the screen.
~Yeah, I had some work to do so I'll be there soon.~
He sent the message. Just as he was about to put his phone back in his pocket he bumped into someone, instantly dropping it.

"Oh- I'm sorry." He muttered backing up and looking for his phone on the ground.

"My bad. Todoroki-kun." The person said. It was a dark alley way, only slightly lit but a street lamp. Shoto froze.

He recognized that voice.
