"Hey! We are not going to force (Y/N)-chan to do anything against her own will!" Hiroto yelled as he grabbed Ryoto by his shirt. "You gotta consider her feelings in this situation!"
Ryoto merely rolled his eyes as he pushed Hiroto off of him. "So you're willing to put all our lives on the line for the sake of playing the hero..."
Hiroto looked at Ryoto in confusion as he knitted his brows together, trying to make sense of everything. "That's not what I'm trying to do." Clenching his fists together, Hiroto continued. "It's called being a decent person. You should try it for once."
"But Ryoto isn't completely wrong," Taro spoke up in his defense. "If we don't go along with the rules of the game, then everyone will die. So what other choice do we have here?"
In frustration, Hiroto swore under his breath before shoving his hands into his trouser pockets. As everyone thought deeply about the situation, Natsume placed a hand on my shoulder.
"What do you want to do, (Y/N)?"
If I'm being completely honest, I don't think I'm in a position to decline. Not when everyone's lives are on the line... Sure I would've likened for my first time to have been with someone I truly loved. But that's all meaningless if my obstinance causes everyone to lose their lives. So begrudgingly, I gave my answer in a trembling voice.
"I don't want anyone to die because of me." I dug my nails into the palms of my hands. "S-So... I'll do it!"
With a beaming smile, Ryoto wrapped an arm around my shoulders, guiding me towards the metal door. "Great! I knew you'd come around!"
From behind, Seiji clicked his tongue as he along with everyone else followed closely behind. "Someone sure is eager. Sure you're not taking pleasure in the situation?" He asked, sarcastically.
Turning his head around, Ryoto chuckled at Seiji's words rather than give him a proper response.
He really is enjoying this, isn't he!?
Once everyone stood before the metal door, it opened, almost automatically. Hesitantly, we all made our way inside the new room.
Similar to the previous one, there was not much to see. From the ceiling to the floor, it was painted a dark blue color. But what mainly separated it from its predecessor was the table and circle of chairs surrounding it.
"Please take a seat on one of the chairs." The voice from the intercom spoke.
Naturally, I took a seat right beside Natsume. He could probably tell that my nerves were starting to get to me as he squeezed my right hand in an attempt to reassure me that all would be fine.
After giving Natsume a short nod, I took notice of Taro who sat on my left. He didn't seem as anxious as he previously was. Perhaps it's due to him knowing for certain that he has nothing to lose now. Unlike me...
I may not lose my life by voluntarily participating in this game. But the same cannot be said for my dignity. After all, a game isn't a game unless there's a degree of challenge involved. And I'm willing to bet that said challenges will be testing my willingness to comply with the game master's orders.
Once everyone had taken their seats, the voice on the intercom continued. "The first game you will be playing is known as, The Dice Game."
With a sigh, Kaito slouched in his seat. "I don't like gambling..."
Crossing his arms together, Natsume looked at Kaito in disbelief. "I don't think this game will involve actual gambling. We don't even have any real money to gamble away with. So to speak..."
