As Natsume slowly rose to his feet, he stared at me in silence. He had a hurt look on his face, which I found to be quite ironic since the one who should be feeling hurt right now is ME!
"Is something wrong?" Seiji asked as he casually made his way to Natsume's side.
Natsume merely rolled his eyes at the haughty boy before adjusting the brim on his cap. "Ha, like you even care. Didn't anyone ever tell you it's rude to stick your nose where it doesn't belong?"
Seiji shrugged off Natsume's sarcasm as he made his way towards the table. "You're right, I don't care. At the end of the day, my main focus is set on winning this game."
After rolling the dies he gave Natsume one last death glare. "Which means I have no time for weak links like you who pose a risk to my success."
As much as Natsume wanted to retaliate, he simply sat grumpily in his chair with folded arms. Based on how he was impatiently tapping his foot against the ground, it's safe to assume that he was very displeased by the insult.
"Seiji, I think you've mistaken what the overall objective of the game is..." Hiroto interjected. "We're supposed to work together to complete all of the challenges. Then we're all free to walk away from this place. There's no solo victory here, it's a team game..."
Seiji merely scoffed at Hiroto, refusing to comment on his explanation. Instead, he redirected his attention back toward the dies he was holding onto.
Seiji's previous words must've also piqued someone else's curiosity, as it wasn't long before he decided to give his two cents on the discussion. "Unless... getting picked by (Y/N) as her soulmate is what you were referring to by winning." Ryoto hypothesized.
Seiji quickly shot Ryoto a look of surprise. Cockily, Ryoto grinned to himself. "So I was right on the mark, huh?" Smugly, he rested the back of his head into his hands, as he comfortably leaned back into his chair. "If you're really that serious then that means some people will need to step up their game, aye?"
Clicking his tongue, Seiji ignored Ryoto as he briskly made his way towards me. As he stood there, looming over me, I impulsively dug my nails into the legs of the chair. Based on how agitated he was, it was safe to assume he wouldn't be courteous of my feelings.
Once I had finally built up enough courage, I spoke up in a shaky voice. "W-What does the dies say?"
Seiji firmly grabbed my chin as he pulled me up onto my feet. I was at a complete loss for words as I tried my best to stand my ground whilst under the powerful gaze that was his cold grey eyes staring me down like I was some kind of sacrificial lamb.
However, when a string of words did eventually come to mind, it was already too late. Seiji was two steps ahead in silencing me by slowly brushing my lips with his longer slender finger.
"I need to bite your lips. Hope you don't mind." He explained coldly before we were connected by the red laser beam.
Pulling my lower lip down with his thumb, I knitted my brows in response. "If you bite me so hard that I get a busted lip then..." I grabbed his wrist, threateningly. "You're dead!"
Taken aback by my sudden assertiveness, Seiji unintentionally smiled in amusement. "Oh yeah? Then I guess I'll need to treat you very delicately."
Geez, wasn't treating someone with a little respect a given? Even the school's most notorious delinquent, Daisuke, knew how to act courteously towards me!
Closing his eyes, Seiji leaned in closer as he took ahold of my bottom lip with his teeth. Using as little force as possible, he lightly teased it in what could only be described as chewing motions.
