Chapter 5

Abbey

Vicky knowing how much her leg hurt last night cautiously stood up, to her surprise she felt no pain, she slowly reached up to the side of her head she hit. Nothing, no bump, no scratch...nothing!

She reached down to her suitcase and pulled out fresh clothes, thoughts filled her mind of the dream, or was it a nightmare Vicky thought to herself.

"Why did it have to feel so real..." She whispered clenching the side of her suitcase.

One word kept floating around her mind as she went to get breakfast with everyone.

Abbey....

She then remembered the list, the one they made on the coach. She reached into her small, old handbag and pulled out the ripped up bit of paper.

Day 1:

Build sand castle

Beach game

Day 2:

go shopping in town

Sort a nice outfit for Jane

And there in scrawled handwriting was Jane's idea.

Visit abbey

Vicky immediately stood up and asked the nearest teacher, who was Miss O'Brian, if she could go grab something from her room and head out early. Today all the classes were visiting the town to go shopping. Miss O'Brian said she could, Vicky was very trusted by the teachers as she had never been caught doing anything against school rules, plus she was always helpful.

Sprinting down the hall Vicky got to her room and put a flashlight into her bag, as fast as her she could she ran out the hotel and through the busy streets of the morning rush. The smell of car fumes were heavy in the air and the sound of engines starting and stopping at the lights.

Getting out of breath she slowed her sprint to a walk, Vicky looked desperately around for a sign showing where it was.

"Nothing.... Nothing... Where.. Where is it!!!" Vicky said in a rushed out of breath voice.

Vicky was spun around to face a tall beautiful blonde haired woman, couldn't have been older than 25, with eyes as deep blue as the ocean, confused she tried to calm her self and catch her breath.

The young woman looked at Vicky with a worried expression and asked her with a voice so smooth it could calm anyone,

"Are you okay?"

Vicky struggled to answer so she just shuffled awkwardly.

"Are you lost?" She asked seeming to want to help.

Vicky instantly relaxed, this person just seemed so calm, she was confused as to why she went from being so flustered to feeling so happy and peaceful, was it her, who is she?

"I...I need to find the abbey!" Vicky told her.

The woman smiled brightly,

"We'll no need to worry I know the way it's not that far from here"

The stranger explained the route to her, ".... You got that?"

Vicky, who is usually bad a directions... and remembering, weirdly understood exactly where it was like a map had been drawn in her head.

"Yes thank you so much! What's your name?"

The woman paused for a moment and replied, still smiling brightly,

"Lily... Lily Oni, and you?"

'Lily? That's a nice name... Oh she just asked mine!' Vicky thought.

"I'm Vicky west, again thank you!"

"No worries" Lily replied as she turned her back on Vicky, the sun hit her deep blue eyes they almost seemed to be tinted with red.

Vicky stared after her for a while and turned to set off the way she told her, still fresh in her head.
