The sky was dull and overcast giving both the day and the building that stood before Bonnie a gloomy aura. The mainly brick building was odd it was split in two parts. One part it looked like a normal church with four tall skinny windows made up of multiple panes stretched across the back of the prayer hall two were taller than the others due to the slant of the roof. The church looked all too familiar which only served to lower Bonnie's mood. It was connected to the other building via a glass entrance way. The other building looked like a drawing of a school, it was two stories high with a slanted roof with a section that was slightly higher than the rest.

Peter had gone on ahead of them earlier that morning or at least that's what Bubba had told her. Apparently Peter taught some of the younger Sunday school classes when the regular teachers couldn't make it.

Church wasn't the place she wanted to be on a Sunday. She wanted to believe that there was something nice on the other side when a person's time comes, but there just wasn't proof. Even still there was a part of her that desperately clung to the idea not for her on sake but for his.

She could feel the wetness in her eyes as her vision began to blur. She quickly wiped the tears from her eyes she wouldn't cry not here, not in public.

Making her way up the concrete steps felt like she was climbing a mountain. It was taking all the strength she had to open the door, sealing her fate for the next hour or two.

"We've still got a few minutes before Sunday school lets out. We should look around and see if we can find Marshall. He normally skips his class the only question is where is he." Bubba pondered for a few moments. He shrugged his shoulder and made a gesture to follow taking off down the hallway to the right.

Bonnie remained stationary for a while she couldn't shake the despairing thoughts from her mind. She stared absent-mindedly at the floor, her head felt heavy with her thoughts. Bonnibel didn't know how long she had been standing there when Bubba returned with Marshall in tow.

"Yo, earth to Bonnie. You good?" Marshall waved his hand in front of her face as he spoke to her. His normal smile replaced by a worrisome look on his face.

She shook her head blinking a few times, slowly taking in the scenery around her. "Yeah, yeah I'm good." Except she wasn't good far from it. She knew uncle Peter had wanted her to come to meet people at the church, but she wanted nothing more than to be left alone for a while.

Bonnie felt the small tremors in her hand, the way the air she breathed never quite seemed to fill her lungs. She took steady deep breaths, breathing in through her nose and out through her mouth. Bonnie repeated the action a few times. It certainly helped, but the effect it was having on her was minimal.

Bonnie managed to actually follow Bubba and Marshall as they made their way to the worship hall. It seemed to Bonnie that Sunday school must of let out as the hall began to fill with people of varying ages. Many came up to her and gave various greetings, some of the more elderly churchgoers would pat her back while talking to her. One particular old woman even pinched her cheeks. Bonnie felt the bubbling of anxiety starting to rise within her, but she did her best to ignore it.

One man stood out to Bonnie amongst the rest. While the others wore nice clothing clearly putting on their Sunday best, he wore a bespoke black suit with a red tie. The man looked to be in his mid to late forties with extremely short black hair.

Marshall let out a long sigh. "Let's go talk to him he is our principal after all."

Bonnie watched as Bubba rubbed the small of Marshall's back. She jotted that down in her mind, she was thankful as it allowed her thoughts to to become occupied in something less heavy.
