Bonnie followed Bubba to their science class which was located on the first floor. Instead of desks the science room was full of long tables with two seats placed at every table. Together they sat down at a front table with a good view of the various electronic and white boards. Bonnie and Bubba were both very punctual giving them first pick when it came to seats. Bonnie thought she heard Bubba begin to ask her how her homeroom was but was cut off by the bell ringing. He muttered a soft "I'll ask again later." As the teacher walked into the room.

She was a short elderly woman with poofy white hair, Ms. Thompson she looked like what Bonnie Imagined a modern day witch would. The woman spoke with large emphasizing hand gestures accompanying her rundown of the class. Bonnie perked up when Ms. Thompson said they would be starting on a small group assignment starting today, their partners being the person they were sat beside. She looked over at Bubba who was looking back at her excitement beaming from his face. The teacher handed out the assignment and let the class set about working.

Bubba went to the back and grabbed two textbooks to aid them in their research, while Bonnie was busy organizing the most efficient way to keep track of the specific questions and their answers. They worked like machines they would stop at every question finding their own answers from the textbook and comparing their thoughts on the answer. The teacher walked around the class checking on how every group was doing. When she made it to Bonnie and Bubba she let out a jovial laugh holding their paper up for all to see much to Bonnie's annoyance.

"Look here these two have already made it to question 36." She handed the paper back to Bonnie and spoke to them privately. "Since you two have made it so far and we only have 10 minutes left of class I'll let you two just sit and talk amongst yourselves assuming you won't get to loud."

As much as Bonnie wanted to just continue working on the assignment, Bubba seemed far more interested in learning just how her home room had gone. Closing both their textbooks and taking them to the back so she wouldn't have an escape he began his interrogation.

"You sped out of homeroom, did everything go ok?" Bubba asked, an inquisitive look on his face as he began putting the rest of his supplies back into his bag.

"It could have been worse I guess?" Bonnie softly replied, but she could feel her face contort into a slightly disgusted look.

"How so? Tell me about it. Do I need to get Marshall to go give someone a tersely worded talking to" Bubba said a small smile playing at his lips.

Bonnie giggled at the idea of Marshall giving someone a rather unpleasant talking to while Bubba stood behind him just nodding along to whatever his friend was saying.

"No it wasn't that bad, it was just some punk girl glared at me when she walked in and called me the B word. To make matters worse our last names are alphabetically close so Mr. Wolfe put me in the seat beside her. She said some other things which admittedly I kind of deserved because I kept glancing at her." She told her cousin feeling a weight releasing from her chest with every word spoken.

Bubba raised an eyebrow at this as Bonnie elaborated. "And why did you keep looking at her?"

"It's just it was so strange seeing someone dressed like that in a school building. I mean I would find it a little strange seeing someone dressed like that out and about but at school it's just bonkers to me and I just kept looking at her." Bonnie explained her actions while Bubba nodded along muttering that it was understandable that she'd have that kind of reaction.

"Well do you know her name I can always get Marshall to check out what her deal is, he's pretty good at getting stuff out of people." Bubba offered getting a small set of sticky notes out and a pen.
