Fine! Fine, I will check to see if the not-dead girl is dead.

ON ONE OF HER NIGHTLY STROLLS, Catalina found the door that led to the roof. She wasn't even quite sure how she stumbled upon it, but it didn't matter; she had the privilege of watching the stars twinkle in the sky, the moon dimly illuminating Earth.

She used the blankets as a beach towel, laying under the dark skyscape. She enjoyed the cold air that tickled her face, and she loved the serenity that the air carried with it. Spain was usually warm, and Catalina prefered the cold. Of course, she dressed warmly; it was the dead of December at four in the morning in Upstate New York. She had to dress warmly, she'd probably catch hypothermia or pneumonia if she didn't. Catalina sat in comfortable silence, and it was the best feeling ever.

It was the calmest she had ever felt. There was no explosion, no terrorist, no sisters in randomized areas on the planet. It was her, the breeze, and the stars.

It was just her and her environment until a red human... thing... came through the roof and hovered over her.

Catalina had let her eyes shut, so she was unaware of the oddly-colored stranger's presence.

When she looked up, she yelped before rolling away from the thing. "What in the-" She put a hand on her chest, her heart still fluttering with the sudden adrenaline burst. "When did you get here?!"

"I apologize for the sudden intrusion," The red man bowed as Catalina scrambled to her feet. "I have the ability to control density, so in simpler terms, I can pass through solid objects, like roofs, for example, with ease."

"That explains why I didn't hear the door open..." She put a hand on her forehead. "I'm-"

"Infanta Catalina Isabel Estella Santiago y León, born on the 16th of August in the year 2000 in Madrid, Spain."

It was like the thing had ripped all of the skin off of her and left her there, exposed.

I hate the internet.

"...Right." The government name usage threw her off-guard. She spoke softer than she had originally, and unconsciously backed away from the man... if that's what you could call him. It? Her?

"I don't mean to sound too rude, but it is awfully late. You should probably-" He paused before continuing. "'Head to bed,' as they say."

"Got it," She and the thing held eye contact for a second, the moment ending when Catalina decided to look away. "Thank you, um..."
