I accidentally forgot about the foil and microwave rule! It wasn't on purpose!

WHEN TWELVE O'CLOCK HIT, Catalina was asleep. Her sleeping schedule was still quite wild; Spain was six hours ahead of New York, so she was probably sleeping when she should be awake and awake when she should be asleep.

Hours later, she was asleep when the youngest Avenger crept into her room. She was asleep when he tapped her on the shoulder. She was awake when she heard him calling her "name." She didn't want to wake up; she was actually having a pleasant dream about her sister, Gabriella.

"Your Majesty?" He whispered worriedly. Catalina stirred slowly, her eyes adjusting to the small amount of light that came from the hallway. "I- We need your help. We've- Pietro and I, we messed up. Bad."

"Wha-?" She groggily questioned as she pulled herself out of bed, wrapping her blanket around her. Catalina followed the brunette boy into the kitchen, where Pietro had been placing a lid on a very large metal pot. Catalina couldn't help but notice the faint scent of... burning food... that wafter through the kitchen air.

Burning?!

"It smells..." She sniffed before crinkling her nose in disgust. "It's too... it's too early to smell."

"Peter wanted some damn fries, so I tried to heat some oil, and it-" Pietro hissed when the pot became too hot for him, pulling away quickly. "It overheated, and it's smoking and I'm pretty sure we lit it on fire."

"I don't- why'd you come find me...?" Catalina was obviously not in the right state of mind. She had a hazy look on her face that told both of the boys that she wasn't really as present as she tried to seem.

"Because this isn't the first time that one of us has done something like this!" Pietro shot a glare at Peter.

"I accidentally forgot about the foil and microwave rule! It wasn't on purpose!"

"Wait, Pietro, is that a glass lid?!" Catalina's eyes widened as the heat caused the glass to shatter, the pieces falling into the now-burning oil. Pietro pulled away from the fiery concoction as Catalina quickly came to her senses. "Shit!" Pietro groaned as fire filled the pot.

"Oh, God..." She gasped as she ran into the kitchen, letting the blanket fall to the ground. "Someone find a metal lid!"

The three teens searched hastily, no doubt making too much noise. Peter was the one to put his hands on the lid, placing it onto the hot pot. "Now what?!"
