I feel like I've got a lot to say about my parents but at the same time I don't really want to write about them, which is very unusual. But I started thinking and then I remembered: I have this notebook from last year. At first it was a little project I had in mind but then all of my friends joined it and added things to the notebook. I am still filling it because I couldn't complete it, even though I am not that centered about it anymore.
The thing is, I wrote kind of a biography of my dad, mom, sister and myself. Some friends told me that, at this point, I should probably do one of my dog too. I can get inspired with this thing but I am not going to reveal too much information.
Let's start with my mom. She is great. I feel like she has that maternity instinct very present. She is always trying to help us, she would do anything for us. However, I don't feel like I could tell her my secrets or anything slighlty personal. She gets proud of me or my sister with very little stuff but she also gets embarressed about us very easily.
She has problems with her family, at least that's what I think. She told me that, since she is the youngest sibling out of three, she wasn't planned and her aunt always used to tell her that she wasn't supposed to live. That is tough, the fact that her aunt told her that when she was eight. She still has problems with that, the middle sister was always mean to my mom and only the oldest sister was good.
But she is great. My mom is really great, she always cares for all of us and helps with everything. Sometimes she is mean, but I get her. She gets stressed with work and doesn't trust herself that much, I feel. It's not usual but, sometimes she jokes about my dad cheating on her and, I hope I am right, I think that my dad loves my mom a lot. She probably has trust issues or something like that.
My dad is someone I really look up to. He is intelligent and a prefectionist. He really cares for us and he is kind of non-transparent, I guess? Let's just say he can keep a secret, because sometimes he is kind of transparent.
He had a difficult childhood as well, mainly because his dad passed away when he was fifteen (same age I am right now, crazy). It was really hard for him and he doesn't talk much about it. He really respects a lot of his friends and family. He is independent, he doesn't need help from others most of the time. Both of my parents are great, there isn't much to talk about here. I got lucky with the family I have. I really did.
Both of them are from Argentina but they came to Spain to live because my aunt lived here since her husband was spanish. Me and my sister were born in Castilla y león, but when I was four we moved to Barcelona because of the weather and because they thought it was going to be the best for our future. My sister and I have the accent of here and the traditions of here, but not completely though, because my parents are from Argentina.
Also, my last name is german because my grand-grandad was german so... it's kind of a mess.
Even though having your family close is the best I still prefer to have a mix of cultures around. That way I can know much more.
