While Sabrina was here at the firehouse, I felt horrible that she was still upset. I could see it in her eyes. She goes to therapy sometimes and her therapist said she has depression and anxiety and might be suffering from PTSD, but it's unclear right now. She left about an hour ago, so I was able to get my present for her without looking suspicious. The guys knew what my plan was.

Her therapist told me to look into service dogs for her, as she might need it to help with her mental health. I agreed, considering Sabrina has always wanted a dog. I knew she could feel a bit better by getting a dog. I searched all over for a dog, and I was finally able to find one who was fully trained in being a service dog. The dog, a female 2-year-old Golden Retriever, was currently at my apartment resting. I left the firehouse to go get her.

The dog was pretty happy to see me, but I knew she'd be happier seeing Sabrina. We walked over to Sabrina's building, which wasn't that far from my apartment. I had told Mom about the dog. At first, she was hesitant. She never wanted pets, but she knew it would help Sabrina so she eventually agreed. All she wanted was for Bri to get better and if the dog was the only way, so be it.

I knocked on the door once I got there. It didn't take long for it to open. Mom smiled at me and looked down as the dog gazed at her with her tongue out. "She's in her room." Mom spoke. I nodded as she closed the door from behind us. Sabrina's door was closed. I knew it was to avoid Mom. I knocked on the door. There was no answer. "Bri, it's me." I spoke. I heard some rustling behind the door before it finally opened.

"Jacob? What are you doing here?" Sabrina asked. "Well, I came to drop off a little surprise." I answered. Sabrina tilted her head in confusion before looking down. She gasped. "Oh my God!" She exclaimed. She bent down and the dog went to her, beginning to lick her face. "She's your new service dog. Your therapist told me a service dog would be good for you." I explained. "Thank you!" Sabrina cried, hugging me tightly. I ruffled her hair, feeling grateful that she's happy.

She hugged the dog as she licked her tears away. "What are you gonna name her?" I asked. Sabrina looked up in thought. "I think I'll name her Soleil. That's French for 'sun.'" Sabrina said. "Shit that's fitting considering she's a Golden Retriever." I voiced. Sabrina giggled and nodded. I began to explain to her how to handle service dogs, since the trainer told me everything and wanted me to relay the information to Sabrina. She understood everything and vowed to treat Soleil well. I knew she would. My heart swelled with happiness just seeing Sabrina finally truly happy after nearly two weeks. Dogs really did do the trick.

(A doggy has arrived! I hope you guys enjoyed this! See you soon)!
