(Some calling out is gonna happen here. I hope you guys will enjoy this)!
I had been standing by the doorway ever since Mrs. Chandler told Sabrina she didn't want to hear her explanation. I came to the school to give Sabrina lunch. I had been here when students and teachers piled out of the classes when they heard her. The principal and vice principal showed up after one teacher called them. I stood there watching, feeling anger surging throughout my body. I've always hated Mrs. Chandler, but now I can officially have a reason. She was an insensitive bitch.
"Jacob? What are you doi–" Sabrina started. "Don't talk, Bri. I don't want you to further injure yourself." I began. I walked in the classroom as Mrs. Chandler and the rest of the students stared at me in shock. "Jacob! I haven't seen you in six years!" Mrs. Chandler exclaimed, wiping away her tears. She gazed at me up and down, looking at my uniform. "You're a firefighter! How wonderful!" She beamed. "Cut the shit! Remember about ten or so years ago, you told Daniel and I that we'd never be firefighters? That we'd never succeed? Do you remember?" I asked. She looked down and nodded.
"Well, you were wrong. We succeeded. Daniel lost his life, but he got what he wanted. He always wanted to help people and he achieved it. We've always disliked you and now I have an actual reason. I always thought you were a bitch and you being insensitive to my sister just proved it. You know, Angela loved you. You were her favorite teacher throughout her Freshman year of high school. I still have no idea why. If she were still alive today, she'd be pissed at you. Just think about that." I put forth, angrily.
Mrs. Chandler refused to look at me. I walked over to Sabrina and held her close as she tried to ease her pain. "Mrs. Chandler, come see me in my office after class is done." The principal spoke before sending everyone back to class. "I'm taking my sister with me. And nobody better tell me shit." I said to the principal, who just nodded in return. I helped Sabrina stand and walked her out the classroom.
"You ok?" I asked as we walked out the school. Sabrina shook her head. "I hate her, Jakey. I really do." She cried. My heart hurt hearing her. I never wanted her to go through what I went through with her, yet here she was. "Everything will be fine, Bri. I'm sure she'll be taken care of." I consoled her. She looked up and smiled at me. "Thanks Jacob for getting me out of there." Sabrina said. "Anything for you." I voiced, ruffling her hair. I wasn't wrong. I'd do anything for her.
(KARMA MRS. CHANDLER! She deserved that. I hope you guys enjoyed that! See you in the next chapter)!
