The car turns into the Welton Academy parking lot. The vine covered bricks seem as though they are welcoming me back home. "Would you like me to walk you in?" My mom asks. I chuckle and grab my bags from the back seat. "I think I can walk in on my own." I kiss her on the cheek and run to the doors.
I take in a deep breath, drawing in the smell of the school. Ah yes, the smell of mildew and sweaty boys is such a lovely smell. There was also the smell of food. I check my watch. It is 6:00 pm. Dinner time.
I go inside the dorm and am over come with the feeling of being home. My bed was already made I look to my desk and I see a piece of paper with cursive writing on it.
I am looking forward to seeing you in my class. If you ever need to talk about anything, my office door is always unlocked and there is most likely a pot of tea that you are more than welcome to help yourself to. Class hasn't been the same without you kiddo.
Sincerely signed, John KeatingI smile, grab a thumb tack and put the note on my wall. The door opens and before I can even look to see who it is, I feel a pair of arms wrapped around my waist, pulling me close. "You're here!" It was Todd. I smile and nod. "You didn't think you could get rid of me that easily did you?" He giggles and shakes his head. "Honestly... I don't know what I thought." I smile and kiss his cheek. "Well I'm not going anywhere Toodles."
"I hate you."
"No you don't." My eyes travel to my bag. "Oh yea I forgot." I unzip the bag and carefully take Treddy out. "Don't worry, I took care of him." I say as I hand him to Todd who was legitimately glowing. "Thank you." He says as he puts him on the bed. God I loved this boy so much. I loved his antics, his voice, his laugh, his eyes and his hair. I love him on his good days and I love him on his bad days. He is so very perfect. It was now past curfew and Todd and I were playing Tic Tac Toe on the floor. Cracking jokes and laughing. We kept shushing each other but that just made us laugh more. He was wrapped in a blanket with Treddy on his lap. Whenever he was waiting for me to make my move, I noticed that he would play with the bears arms. It was so cute I couldn't help but lean over the paper and kiss him. When I look at him, his face is completely red. "What was that for..." he's chuckling nervously. "You're cute. So I wanted to kiss you." Somehow he turns more red. He cups the side of my face in his hand and kisses me back. And just like a few months ago, he melts into the kiss, both of us completely forgetting about or game of Tic Tac Toe. He pulls me closer, taking me by surprise. He starts kissing my neck. Now I'm the one to chuckle nervously. "Todd, what are you doing?" He pulls away, visibly worried that he'd done something wrong. "I was kissing your neck... is that okay? Did I go too far? I'm sorry... I should have asked first..." Todd Nervous. "Todd. It's okay, I just didn't expect it. It's okay." I kiss his cheek then look at my watch. "Holy shit it's two in the morning." We both laugh. "It's a good thing it's Friday." He says. "We should pull an all nighter." I suggest he nods. "I'm actually kind of hungry... what do you say, we sneak down to the kitchen and find something to eat." Todd had really changed in the past few months. I think he's been spending too much time with Charlie Dalton.
