Best friend

I woke up to the sound of the shower running and then I remembered.
I'm sharing a dorm.
With Cyno.
Looking around I noticed Cyno wasn't in his bed?
Realising the current events I realised.
Cyno was in the shower.
My brain started running wild imagining him in the shower.
I smacked my cheeks with both hands until they stung red.
He's straight stop fantasising!
He clearly sees you as just a friend.
I sighed and cleared my mind before sitting up on my bed stretching.
Grabbing a brush I started brushing my tail.
My ears picked up the sound of the bathroom door and I looked up.
The handle turned and guess who walked out in just a towel followed by a carpet of steam like in an anime romance movie that Collei watches.
I stared from head to toe.
His abs were coated in water droplets and his hair was pushed back out of his eyes and slightly dripping.
"Oh I thought you would still be asleep"
He chuckled before grabbing his shirt and pants from his cupboard before ushering me to turn around.
I shakily turned around and gathered my thoughts.
Cynos half naked body flashed in my head and I held my tail to stop it from causing me to fly through the roof.
My face was dusted in a heavy blush I hoped he wouldn't notice he I knew he would.
He was rather clueless but he could notice things like that.
"Done"
I heard his voice and it shook me from my thoughts.
Brushing my tail again and trying to get the knots out I distracted myself from the situation.
"Do you need help?"
He asked kindly.
Looking up I saw his happy smile and curious eyes.
I couldn't say no to that face and nodded.
He excitedly stood up and plopped onto my bed next to me.
I nervously flicked my tail onto his lap and gave him the brush.
Closing my eyes I took a deep breath.
He was gentle and didn't yank at the knots.
"It's so soft"
I opened my eyes and looked his way.
A large smile was planted on his face and he looked so happy like a puppy with a toy.
"It's like a giant pillow"
He finished brushing and picked up my tail hugging it.
This was killing me he was so adorable.
I watched him rub him face into my tail and giggle.
"I've never had a friend before"
"Oh? But so many people follow you around?"
"Well I've never really thought of them as friends because I know they are there for my looks.."
"Nari your not just here because of my looks"
His eyes looked like they threatened to spill and I sighed and spoke.
"No Cyno you are attractive but I saw your personality first when you were feeding squirrels. That's what made me want to be your friend"
His eyes sparkled and I could hear his heart beating.
He smiled happily and hugging my tail again.
"Thanks"
His voice was muffled by my tail but I could hear it just fine.
Someone knock on the door in a polite manner.
Cyno seemed to know who it was but he looked through the keyhole anyway.
A strict voice spoke.
"It's just me Mr Matra I'm here with your things"
"Not to loud Ernie or people will hear"
Cyno replied through the crack in the door before opening it and grabbed each box.
Ernie nodded once all the boxes were inside and left.
Cyno shut to door and sighed.
"I'm glad nobody was out there"
He began unpacking his things which were just small items such as his mini pyramids and card collection.
Sometimes it shocked me how much taller he was then me.
Maybe like an inch or two?
He was trying to get his poster up and I got out of bed to watch him.
Suddenly loosing his balance he fell directly on-top of me.
I opened my eyes to see his back and I flushed red.
He had landed right into my lap and was laughing until he realised he had landed on me.
Quickly getting off and he held my hands and then my arms checking if I was alive.
Truly he had just broken my brain but he didn't have to know know.
"You okay?"
His face was so close to mine as he looked at me with concern.
I stammered with my words before being able to speak.
"Y-Yeah I'm good"
He stood up and offered me a hand.
Hesitantly I took it and he lifted me onto my feet.
Going back to putting up his poster he hummed a soft tune.
I could hear his heart beating and my face was red.
He keeps getting to close to me and it sends me wild.
I know he's not gay so I had to keep my hopes down.
"Do you want to get coffee later I needed to go to the mall anyway so you want to come?"
Cyno suddenly asked me.
Going out with Cyno?
Date?
No.
Just friends.
"Oh yeah sure"
"I'll need to wear a hat and some glasses to so I might look a little odd but I want to blend in without being noticed"
"That's fine"
I opened my bag and searched for any money, before counting my findings in the palm of my hand.
"5 dollars and 60 cents"
"I can give you some money if you want"
"Oh no it's fine I have enough-"
"Shush you can have some my dads rich"
I blinked a couple times but I knew I couldn't protest against him.
After he was done with his poster he picked up a pair of aviators and a black bucket hat.
"I'll got Ernie to pick us up"
"Oh alright"
I replied and told him to turn around while I got into something that wasn't my pjs.
After I was done we left once we saw that nobody was outside we ran for the dorm elevator.
