After that night, [Y/N] felt on edge from what happened with Kakucho and Mikey. She would always space out and be filled with memories of them. Their face. Their hair. Their lips. The way they would act around her. Mikey has always been very friendly with her but Kakucho was different. He would be distant and cold with her.

But recently, he changed. He became more friendly. More talkative and more touchy with her. It confused her yet she liked it. What caught her in a slump was what her wolf kept repeating to her ever since that kiss with Kakucho.

"Mate."

She wouldn't believe it. She couldn't.

She was with Kisaki and Hanma. She couldn't be feeling like this towards Kakucho. He couldn't be her mate.

Things with Kisaki and Hanma were turning even worse.

They got busier with their work that she hardly had any time with them. Kisaki got colder with her. He wouldn't greet her at all. Not even acknowledge her. It sadden her. At least Hanma would give her a smile and pat on the head but that was it. Not even a kiss. It broke her. They would rather stay at their work than stay at home with her. She knew that they were upset with her going to work really late even though they said it was fine. She knew them well. They were avoiding her.

But what made her more confused was it didn't hurt her as much as when Takeomi called her about Kakucho needing her. She panicked so much that she was rushing to go over. It'll be the same with Kisaki and Hanma yet no. Her wolf wasn't overwhelmed and filled with happiness with them.

It was only with Bonten.

Thoughts went through her head. The ones that she would always have ever since she was little.

"You're nothing but a slut!"

"You're just using them!"

"Whore!"

"So pathetic!"

"Just die!"

She would always get those whenever she would sleep. She'd have nightmares yet she couldn't rely on anyone. She was all alone. The coldness all around her. She couldn't take it. It felt like she was back in the orphanage.

Nights like this are what kills her.

She hates it so much.

It would make her want to hurt herself yet she tried to be tough. But she knew that she wasn't. She was weak. She always has been. She would have her adopted mother, or the boys with her to help her out of her misery.

Now she didn't have anymore.

She was all alone.

It was her day off and she was alone in her apartment once again. She sighed as she didn't know what to do. She tried to distract herself with watching some television but nothing caught her interested. She decided to clean around but the whole place was already spot on clean except for Hanma's room. She thought about going in and cleaning it but she knew how he was with his stuff. She ran her hand through her hair as she slouched on the couch, feeling helpless.

She then noticed her phone light up as she picked it up and looked at the message with wide eyes.

Hanma: Hey [Y/N], we are gonna be out of town for a few days. We'll have a talk once we get back

[Y/N] gripped on her phone as she couldn't take this anymore. She felt neglected. They had confessed to her yet it didn't feel like it. She felt used.

[Y/N]: Don't bother.
