Aira Ryuzaki's POV
"Wait on hold. There was Aomine and the other 3, but what about the other 2? The phantom 6th man and Kise?" Miya asked.
"Well, they join us a bit later than that," I replied.
"Sooo, how did you manage to get into the all-boys team? Despite like all the rules for the competition and all that," She asks.
"Akashi pulled some strings and I had to go through a lot of friendly competition to prove my worth," I answered.
"Come on, you need to tell me how did the phantom 6th man and Kise join!" Miya exclaimed but before I could say anything else, our teacher already entered the room.
"Maybe next time," I said, and Miya returned to her seat with a pout.
Honestly, I didn't expect myself to tell the story about Aomine and me before the incident. I always prevent myself from talking about it because it will cause me to miss our friendship, our relationship.
A Few Weeks Later~
"Mom, you know I am out just to buy my new basketball shoes right?" I said to my mom through a call.
"I know but could you do me a favor to get some groceries? I will send you a list," She replied.
"Sure sure whatever," I replied and ended the call. The next moment, there was a notification for the list of groceries I needed.
For the past few weeks, I have been skipping training and going to public courts to find some people to play with. But of course, nobody could ever beat me. I just trash them in an instant and then they lose their will to play anymore. In doing so, it caused my basketball shoes, well, I just can't wear them anymore.
The list of groceries I have to buy isn't that much so thank god I don't have to carry a lot of stuff. I let out a sigh and went back inside to store to continue to look for shoes. A black and purple one caught my attention as I walked around. It's my type of colour and it matches the jersey.
"Hi, do you have a size 38 for this?" I ask the nearest worker that I could find.
"Oh, hold on I will help you check in the back. Give me a moment," She replied and disappeared to the back. While she was doing that, I was walking around the store, and all of a sudden someone spoke from behind me, "What are you doing here?"
I jumped and turned around, "AH- Tetsu?! What the heck you scared the living out of me!"
"Gomen, I didn't mean to," He replied.
I just sighed and said, "It's fine do not ever do that again. I swear to god I'm going to have a heart attack someday,"
"Here's your shoes," The employee said and handed me the shoes.
"Thank you," I said and took the box to try it on.
"Did your old ones spoil?" Tetsu asked while I tied the shoelaces of the shoes.
"Hm," I replied and stood up. The shoes were way more comfortable than my previous shoes. I jumped a few times and I felt like I was weightless.
I turned to the worker and said, "I'll take these," I took off the shoes and put them back into the box to hand them back to the worker.
"Okay! I will help you put this at the counter so you can meet me there when you're ready to pay," I nodded.
"How are you nowadays?" Tetsu asks while following me to the counter to make payment.
"I had better days," I replied. I paid, took the shoes, and headed out of the store.
While I was walking to the supermarket, I realised that a particular someone is following me.
I turned to face him, "Why are you following me?"
"Well, it's been a while since I met you and I just want to hang out. I do not have anything else to do anyways," Tetsu replied.
I let out a sigh and said, "Do whatever you want."
"Soo, what have you been doing nowadays?" He asks.
"Nothing much, " I answered.
As we entered the supermarket, Tetsu just followed me everywhere as I got the things that I needed. From time to time he would disappear halfway and I would have to find him around the whole place.
"Oi Tetsu could you stop going off out of nowhere? At least tell me when you want to see the stuff you want?" I said after he disappeared for like the 10th time.
"Hai, I'm sorry," He replied.
"That's what you always say and the next moment you did it again," I sighed, "Come on, let's go pay,"
Both me and Tetsu made our way to the checkout area. After we paid for our stuff, I planned to head straight home.
"Alright, see you Tetsu, I'm heading home," I said.
"Alright see you," He replied and I made my way home.
I thought we actually parted ways but we were going in the same direction.
"Urm... is it just me or is it that you are going the same way as I am," I stated.
"I planning to accompany you all the way to your home," Tetsu replied.
"HUH?!" I stopped in my tracks.
"Is there a problem?"
"Is there a problem huh? Of course, there's a problem!" I half-yelled, "Why would you want to accompany me Tetsu?"
"I mean I did say that I wanted to hang out," He replied innocently and I just couldn't help but just let him do what he wants.
I let out a sigh and said, "Just do whatever you want."
The whole walk home I guess you can say it wasn't so bad. I had Tetsu with me and we were just talking about random stuff. From talking about just what groceries I bought to my life in America. Not going to lie, it's actually nice to have come company.
"Alright, this is it," I said once we were outside my house.
"I'm still shocked you still live in the same place," Tetsu said.
"I mean, my parents thought it would be nice not to sell the house because they think they would want to move back so here we are," I replied, "See you around Tetsu."
"See you, Ryu-kun,"
