Third Person's POV
~Recap~
"Time to get started," The second ace mumble under her breath and...
Beep
As the other team charged towards Touou with the ball in their hands, Aira was getting ready to defend.
"Tsk, underestimating us," One of the guys from the other school said. The point guard of the other team was going one vs one with Aira. As he started dribbling, trying to get past Aira he did at first but that's because she let him. Without even seconds to waste, Aira stole the ball from him and made her way to the other side of the court.
The rest of Touou followed after her but they knew that she will score and she did.
She dunked
The other team was shocked. Did a girl just dunk?
The game went on and with Aira on the team, the other team couldn't even score one point.
"This is incredible," Momoi said.
"What is?" The coach asks.
"Her data is much better than the one I took yesterday. I think if she really wants to play, her data will be like this but if she doesn't her data will not be at her best," Momoi explains.
"That explains it. For now let's just let her be," Momo nods.
"Still couldn't get a hold of Aomine?"
Momoi shakes her head," He still wouldn't pick up my phone." The coach just nodded.
Ever since Aira has come back to Japan, Momoi has the urge to message the others that Aira is finally back. She knows that every one of them would be happy about it especially one particular model.
Beep
The sound of the buzzer could be heard and that signals in was the end of the 3rd quarter.
"Satsuki, what are you day-dreaming about?" The second ace came up to her and she seems to snap out of it.
"Oh! Sorry, Ryu, it's nothing!" The second ace didn't ask any further and just continue to drink her water.
Until now, there's still no sign of the ace. Everyone on the team wasn't surprised at all, it's practically normal. Deep inside the second ace, she wished that he would just show up already because she really wants to play together. She missed the feeling of having him around on the same team as her.
Touou went through all of the strategies they are going to do for the last quarter while the second ace just wasn't listening. She was looking around in the audience to see whether she recognized anyone but she didn't see anyone that she knows.
"Oi Ryu!" Aira turned her attention to Momoi, " You weren't listening right?" All Aira did was just smirk and shrug her shoulders.
"Typical Ryu," Momoi mumble to herself.
The 4th quarter flew past super fast and the match was over. Of course, Touou won.
"Thank you for the game!" Both teams thanked each other and head off to their respective changing rooms.
For Aira, she went into the girl's washroom to change. Once she was done, she went to Touou's changing room. As she enters, the coach was giving a debrief for today's game. Aira sat there and daze off.
"The next game will be in 3 days, rest up for today and I will see you for practice tomorrow," The coach said.
"Hai!"Everyone answers the coach and left. Everyone one of the Touou members went to get lunch together while Aira just walked around the stadium to look around as it's been a while since she was back here.
When Aira was walking around, memories started to flood into her mind. Those times with them, those times with him.
"Ryucchi?" The second ace froze on her spot. She knew who that voice belongs to, she knew who always uses chin at the back of people's name when he respects them.
She didn't dare to turn to look at him, she still can't face him after those years of being gone.
"It is you right, Ryucchi?" She could feel like he is walking towards her to she bolted out of there.
"Ryucchi wait!" The model ran after her.
Of course, when he was chasing after her, he knew that he wouldn't catch up to her because of her speed but he has to try, he has to talk to her. When he was out of the stadium, he could see that Aira has stopped. He approached her and she turned to look at him.
"Ryucchi," The model called out to her.
"Long time to no see, Kise-kun,"
