"Didiane where did you leave your car?" Steve asks from the front seat. I wedge my shoulders away from Max's and Eddie's to lean up more and look at him. His eyes meet mine in the review mirror, and then move back to the road.

"I left it about a mile down the road from Rick's house, the forest side." Steve nods and I settle back down inbetween the two. "Are we all meeting at my house or what's going on?" I wonder.

"I was just going to drop you and Eddie off, I do have to drive Max and Lucas home." Steve nods towards Lucas sitting comfortably in the front seat. "Nance should be able to handle dropping everyone else off."

"Sounds like a plan." I side eye Max who is looking aimlessly out the window, her thoughts far away. I nudge her with my elbow softly, and her sharp ice orbs meet mine. "You stay out of trouble for a night, and keep that safety net on." I smile softly at her and motion to the headphones around her neck softly playing 'running up that hill'. She returns a grin shortly, but it doesn't meet her eyes.

"I will. You keep Munson out of trouble." She stifles a laugh. Eddie leans forward to glare at Max, but she doesn't look his way.

"Yeah Didiane, keep Munson on a leash for us until tomorrow okay?" Steve chimes in from the front seat. I roll my eyes and huff.

"Are you gonna join in on the bickering Sinclair?" I ask. He leans to look at me and slowly shakes his head no wearily. "Good."

We turn onto the now familiar street, Holland, and slowly my car comes into view on the shoulder of the road, the faded blue tint shining in the light. Just up ahead I can see the cops swarming around the house, and the street is blocked off. Eddie seems to notice this too as he ducks down into his seat, just barely able to see out the window. I lean up and hold onto the seat.

"Okay, we do this quick. Eddie wait until I'm in the drivers side before you jump out." He nods, his hair bobbing. Steve pulls up behind my car, and I eye the crime scene ahead of us, and I turn to look out the back window for any other possible eyes.

If anyone sees Eddie, we're all screwed.

Max opens her door and jumps out, and I shimmy my way across the seat and out of the car, racing to my own. I fumble with my keys in my pocket and finally insert the correct one in the door, and climb in. I look back at Eddie peaking through his window and nod at him. I insert my keys in the ignition and my engine whines in protest before starting to life. Steve's car door swings open and he races out and towards my car. My passenger door flies open and Eddie hurls himself in, slamming the door behind him hard shaking the whole car. He stays low to the floor in an awkward position. I turn my attention back to the road and whip my wheel to the right and turn around in the middle of the road, and race away from Rick's house, Steve's car following right behind me.

I glance up in my review mirror and see Steve  with his brow furrowed in concentration and a flash of Max's red hair in the middle of the backseat. Once I'm sure we're far enough away and we turn off the road, and we've turned onto coal mill street, I glance down to Eddie who is cramped between my seat and my dashboard. He meets my eyes and grins, and I can't help but do the same.

"Comfy?" I suppress a laugh. My eyes flicker between him and the road. He narrows his eyes at me.

"Yes Didiane, I'm very comfortable thanks for asking." Sarcasm drips heavily from his voice. I laugh and shake my head, focusing back on the road. We drive a ways, and I tap my fingers against the wheel to a rhythm in my head. We stop at the two way intersection of Mulberry and Steve pulls up on my right. I raise my hand on the wheel as a wave, and he does the same. I watch as he turns right and I turn the wheel left towards my house.
