"First, we need to figure out the plan before we get too caught up in weapons and shit, okay?" I scan the room, multiple heads nodding. We're currently crowded around my kitchen table, me at the head. I lean over a notebook, the page empty. I pick up the pen and take the cap off, hovering my hand over the first line.

"Okay. Good. So firstly, we need three groups. One will be staying here in Hawkins at the creel house while Max contacts Vecna and tries to lure him away or distract him. Group two is going to be going into Vecna's lair and killing him, and group 3 is going to be distracting the bats from the trailer park." I write out the three groups, giving them their own space.

"If Max is staying then so am I." Lucas crosses his arms. I nod, and glance around the table.

"Any objections to this?" No one speaks up. "Okay, Erica, Lucas and Max will stay in Hawkins. That's group one." I scribble their names down under group one-and it's exactly that-scribbles. "Group two, who's going to actually go and kill this son of a bitch?"

"We can. The three of us." Nancy speaks up. She nods at Robin and Steve, and they don't say anything. I write down their names as well.

"Well then, that is settled." That leaves Eddie and Dustin. Group three, distraction."

"What about you?" Robin wonders, confusion evident in her voice.

"I was just getting to that, I'm wherever you guys want me to be." My eyes flicker around the faces.

I knew if I had to choose where to go I wouldn't be able to. A part of me wants to be with Max, to watch over her and ensure her safety. Another part of me yearns to go with Eddie. And I also want to go and kill this stupid bitch myself.

I can't decide. I can't do it. I've gone over all the possibilities with each group in my head. I can't choose.

Thankfully, Nancy decided for me.

"I think it would be a decent idea to have an adult here in Hawkins, just in case something goes wrong." Nancy breaks the silence. "If I were to put you anywhere, it would be with Max. You have a car too." I nod. Eddie's worried gaze meets mine, and I give him an encouraging smile.

I can see the fear in his eyes, the uncertainty.

"Well that was easy." I laugh without humor. "Let's go get that RV unpacked."

It takes us around half an hour before we have everything out, and another half an hour spent organizing things into piles. Weapons, clothes, extra materials. I open the garage for them and let them scavenge for any tools or extra things they may need. Eddie of course is the last one out, carrying a metal trash can lid and a hammer.

"Interesting choice.".

"It'll do for a shield, don't you think?" He asks. I tilt my head, examining it.

"A temporary one, maybe if you added some more determents on it you could make it more effective." I suggest.

I try to think back to my haul and what I saw of Robin's when we were in the store, trying to dream up anything he could use to help him. Instead, I remember the clothes I got for us.

"Oh and also when I was in the store I picked out something for you."

We walk together to the pile of clothes, and I dig through them. I find the green jacket I bought for myself and set it aside, continuing to dig until my hands come across the slightly raised army green material, and I pull it out.
