Soojin POV

I got home on Monday afternoon and greeted my father. "Where's mom?" I ask, realizing she wasn't home.

"She went out to see a friend, I think Bang Chan," My dad tells me. I nod and go up to my room to do some homework, as well as practice the new music piece we were given in class today. I didn't mention, but I play piano. And I take a class for it at my school. Hyunmin plays electric guitar. Pretty cool right?

Speaking of Hyunmin, I get a notification as I sit down at my desk. Not from him though. It was from Hayoon. How did she even get my number?

I glanced at the banner, which said heyy girly, can't wait to see you and hyunmin at the party! don't forget, my house. Oh and......

I roll my eyes and throw my phone onto the bed so I don't get distracted by it. I'll read the rest of her message later.

Y/n POV

"Chan, I don't know what to do! I don't want to cut him off completely," I tell my friend. We're at his apartment sitting on his sofa. I'm telling him everything about Taehyun because his advice is always good.

"Why don't you though?" Bang Chan asks. "Because, he's a really good friend, and I still care about him despite everything," I say.

"Okay, I understand. But if he's your good friend, won't he understand that you want him to stop, with whatever he's doing?" Chan did have a point, but still.

I let out a sigh, not knowing how to answer.

"Maybe you should meet with him in person. Get the message across clearly that you're not interested," He suggests.

"You think it's a good idea?" I ask, questioning if doing that would be good. "It's an idea. Take it or leave it."

I nod, "Alright. I guess I can only try. I'll arrange to meet with him somewhere."

"How is Yeonjun and Soojin by the way?" Chan asks. "They're good," I respond. "There's this boy, a friend of Soojin's. She seems to like him, but she always denies liking him at all, saying they're really just friends," I tell Chan. He may not have even cared, but I knew he wanted me to talk about something else to get my mind off Taehyun and I knew he didn't mind listening.

"Ooo, what's his name?"

"Hyunmin. He's Choi Soobin's son," I tell him. "Oh, okay. I'm sure one will confess sooner or later," He says. "Yep," I giggle.

"Oh, speaking of that, is there anyone special in your life yet?" I ask. Chan was very much, uncommitted, if you could say that, when it came to relationships. He sort of just had a fling with someone for a week or less, and then moved on to the next girl. It wasn't really the best reputation to keep, but I always hoped he'd eventually find someone perfect for him and settle down.

"Well, I had a really nice time with some girl I met last week," He says. "Oh, that's nice. What's she like?"

"Uh, I'm not sure. We didn't really do much talking, if you know what I mean," And then he winks. I cringed internally. "I haven't spoken to her since."

"Chan, don't you think you should-"

"Look for someone to settle down with for good? Yeah. I try, but it's so hard to keep a girl. They always only want one thing from me," He says.

"I think that's because you don't let your guard down enough, so people can't really get to know you," I say.

"You know how to talk to people," He shakes his head and chuckles. "I'm just speaking facts. Anyways, I think I should get home, don't want the fam to be wondering too much," I stand up. "Oh, alright. Good luck with Taehyun. I hope things work out."

"Thank you. Hey, why don't you come for dinner? It's been a while since you came over. If you're not too busy," I offer.

"Oh, well I couldn't ever say no to Yeonjun's food," He starts. "Alright, I'll come."

So, Chan locks up his apartment and we drive a few minutes to my house.
