Y/n POV
"Do you need help with dinner?" I ask my husband after Soojin escaped to her room.
He crosses his arms, "Is there something you aren't telling me?"
I could stand here and say, 'no'. I could stand here and lie to Yeonjun to try and keep things from getting any worse, to keep him from getting hurt. I could do that, however, for once I would like to not keep something from him.
It is the most right thing to do, obviously. To tell him the truth, and to not keep anything from him because he is my husband and we love each other, so we need to be there for each other.
"Y/n?" He pulls me out of my thoughts after we stood in silence for a few seconds.
He then walks away into the kitchen and comes back a minute later. "Just turned the stove plate off."
"Love, you can tell me what's going on," He walks up before pulling me closer, wrapping his arms around me. "I'm with you in this, don't fight this battle alone, please."
I let out a sigh, and move so that I can see his face. "Let's go talk on the sofa," I say.
I hold onto his hand as we make our way to sit down on the sofa, facing each other.
He waits for me to speak.
"I met with Taehyun today," I begin, "I didn't think we'd be at the same place Soojin and her friends would, but I noticed her inside as soon as I stood up to leave. I asked Taehyun to meet me to finally tell him that I don't want to be with him and that he needs to move on."
"And what did he say?"
A tear runs out of my eye and down my cheek. "He told me to give him a chance, which I declined. Jun, I don't know what to do to make him stop," I lean into Yeonjun and he holds me close.
He rubs his hand over my head multiple times. "Everything is going to be okay. Thank you for telling me."
"I'm sorry," I say between sobs.
"For what?" He asks, confused.
"Ever since we met I've just made your life difficult. I'm sorry that you've had to put up with that."
"My love, if I could go back I wouldn't change a thing. Yes, we went through tough times and hardships, however, those battles made our relationship stronger, it made our family stronger," Yeonjun tells me as he continues to hold me.
I really scored. Not just because I was married to a former kpop idol, but because this man never left me, despite everything we've been through, his love has always brought me through anything, and for that I am grateful.
"You're right," I say to him. He moves my face so that I was facing him, before giving me a kiss on my forehead.
"I love you very much," He whispers. "I love you too," I respond, before cupping his face and giving him a kiss.
"We should probably go finish up with dinner," I remind him. "Can't we stay like this for a few more minutes?" Yeonjun pouts.
"We have a daughter upstairs who is probably starving, come on," I get up and pull him up off the couch, dragging him to the kitchen.
I continue prepping the food, while Yeonjun just stands there. "Aren't you going to help?" I question.
He walks closer to me, "Just one more kiss?" He pleads, trying to kiss me. Before he can, a voice interrupts.
"You guys are way too old for that," Soojin says, a look of cringe on her face.
I giggled as Yeonjun quickly moves away from me.
"Um...Dinner is almost ready sweetie," I say. "Alright," She stands in silence for a moment, and there's an awkward silence lingering before she broke it, leaving to her room again, "as you were."
Not even a second later Yeonjun was standing right in front of me, about to plant a kiss on my lips.
"Come, let's dish up the food," I say, softly pushing Yeonjun back. "Oh come on," He whines like a child who's iPad was confiscated.
I take out some plates while he dishes the food onto them.
"We're not too old, are we?" He starts.
I chuckle, taking the plates to the dinner table. "I don't think so," I reply.
"Well then," Yeonjun comes up from behind me and wraps his arms around my waist. I turn around to face him and give him a quick kiss before pulling myself out of his embrace. "There, now calm down."
He pouts once more, but gives up, and goes upstairs to call Soojin to eat.
"How is it going with Hyunmin? Are you guys together yet?" I teasingly ask my daughter as we eat our dinner. I'll never stop asking until the day she finally gives me the answer I've been waiting for. I know for a fact that they will end up getting married.
She suddenly gasps and throws a hand to her mouth. "I completely forgot to tell you."
I gasp too, and then for some reason Yeonjun does as well. "Tell me what?" I ask, intrigued and excited, hoping she will tell me that they finally got together.
She removes her hand from her face, "Earlier, Hyunmin asked me to be his girlfriend, and I said yes," She smiles widely.
I gasp again, "I'm so happy to hear that! I was right about you two all along," I grin.
Soojin and I look at each other confused when we both hear sniffling coming from Yeonjun.
"Dad?"
We look at him and see that he is crying. "Love, what's wrong?" I touch his arm.
"I'm sorry, I'm just- I'm so happy. I'm so blessed to have you two in my life," He wipes a tear away.
Soojin and I smile at each other before standing up and going around to give Yeonjun a hug. "We love you too dad," She says. He looks up at us and smiles.
"We should go on vacation. I think we all need it," He says, starting to relax. We sit back down.
"For how long?" I ask.
"As long as you want."
"Can Hyunmin come with?" Soojin asks with eagerness.
