"Aiden, wake up." Chase's voice said quietly.

"Go away..." I mumbled into the pillow.

"It's ten in the morning, get up."

"No." Was all I said again in the pillow.

"Fine, have it your way." Chase said and I heard footsteps sounding like he left the lab room.

I smiled into the pillow at my little victory and started to doze off.

Then I felt a wet, cold feeling all over myself.

I jolted awake and sat up quickly to see a Chase, standing there with a bucket and a smirk across his face.

"Cha~se!" I wined.

Chase smirked, "Cm'on, I wanna show you something."

"What is it?" I asked.

"You'll see when we get there."

"Well, I need to stop at my place, because now I'm all wet thanks to you." I glared at him and got off the lab table.

My side didn't hurt anymore, I lifted up my tang top and looked at the wrap, an there wasn't anymore blood.

I slowly unwrapped the wrap around my waist.

When I finished unwrapping it, you couldn't even tell that I was shot, is that apart of me not being human...?

"Yeah, it's because your not human." Chase said out of the blue.

"Did you just read my mind?" I asked.

"Yep, one of the perks of being, well, what we are."

'Well then...'

"Just, don't read my mind, please."

Chase nodded, "Want me to come with you?"

"Nah, I'll be fine."

"Ya sure?"

I nodded and walked out of the lab and didn't know where I was going.

The whole two days I've been here, I've never been farther than the lab or the bathroom, because I had to heal.

"Um, where exactly is the exit around here?" I asked.

"Here, follow me." Chase said walking up behind me and past to another room.

I followed and there was a door in the room we walked in.

He opened the door revealing sunlight, "You sure you don't want me to come with you?"

I shook my head, "No, I'll be fine."

Chase nodded, "Meet me at the old hotel on seventh street."

"Kay, see ya in a bit." I said and left closing the door behind me.

I looked at the building and it was a old abandoned apartment building on the south side of the city.

And, I live on the east side, so I have a long walk.

Along my way home, I started to have second thoughts about meeting Chase, I just met the guy two days ago and I don't know barley anything about him, just his name, that he's not human, along with me, and he lives in a old apartment building.

While I was thinking about all of this, I ended up at my place in no time.

I decided to not meet up with Chase, because I don't know him really, and I just want to stay home for a while away from everything going on..

A smile made its way across my face as I closed the door and went to my bedroom.

My clothes were a little dry, but I changed into boot cut jeans, got a different pair of boots that go to my knees that were brown and had a little bit of a heel to them, and a white tang top.

I grabbed the key chain with the Dark Knights symbol on it, or Chase's symbol on it and stared at it.

Should I return it? But he gave it to me, in a weird way but still....

I shrugged it off and stuffed it in my pocket.

I plopped down on my bed and took my sketch book.

I didn't know what to draw at first, but then a image came to my head.

My hand moved across the page drawing here and there, and in about two minuets, it was finished.

I drew.... What did I draw? It was a drawing of... Chase... With, flames, coming from his hands... Weird...

I closed my sketch book and sat up.

"So~ not weird...." I said out loud.

"What's not weird?" Chase's voice said from my room.

I bolted from my bed and stood up quickly, "How'd you know where I live?!"

"I followed you." Chase smirked and leaned against the doorway to my room.

"And why is that?"

"You weren't going to meet me at the hotel."

"So..." I mumbled.

"You don't trust me, don't you."

"Not really." I admitted.

"I don't blame you, but what I have to show is important, and you'll know who to trust then."

"Do I have to go?" I asked.

Chase nodded, "It'll probably save your life in the future sometime."

"Fi~ne!" I wined and followed Chase out of my bedroom and out of the gas station.

We didn't say anything else the whole way.

Soon we made it to a building with big letters that said WCC.

World Changing Corporation!

"Is this where we were, well, made?" I asked still staring at the building not fully believing it.

"Yep, and we're coming back too."

Chase answered.

I snapped my gaze at him, "Why are we coming back?! Didn't you say these guys waned to destroy us?"

He nodded, "Yeah, but we need to find our files and others to, I want to know if there are others out there like us that we can find."

"And when do you plan on doing this?"

Chase looked at me, "Tonight."
