"Chase, how much longer....?" I groaned.
"Just calm down, not to much longer." He said clearly annoyed of me complaining for the past ten minuets.
We were on the building across from WCC waiting until they close for the night.
It was about another minuet and the lights turned off and the last worker left locking the doors.
I pulled my mask over my mouth and nose and was in my all black vigilante getup.
Same with Chase, he had his all black getup on too, but no mask.
"Ready now?" Chase asked.
I brushed my bangs out if my face and nodded.
Chase jumped down and I jumped after him and we ran across the street quickly to the WCC building.
There was a ladder on the south side of the building and climbed to the roof.
Chase has the whole building memorized from inside out.
I don't know how, but he does.
"Why didn't we just come in during the day for a tour and sneak around then?" I asked.
"Because, the second we would walk through the doors, security would come and take us to the lab room, because they have sensors along the outline of the front doors that could detect our blood type, ours is completely different from others ya know" Chase answered while prying the air duct open.
"Makes sense..."
"Alright, I'll go in and you stay out here and keep guard." Chase said getting ready to jump down.
"Bu-" Was all I could say before he jumped down leaving me there feeling like a little sidekick.
I huffed and crossed my arms and did what I was told.
I slid the sleeves up on my long sleeve black shirt and looked at my scars.
I haven't cut myself for a long time, and it's all that damn orphanages fault.
Chase never got the answer out of me about them to, he gave up on that.
I sighed and rolled my sleeves back down and sat on the ledge of the building with my legs hanging over.
I was already bored, and it's only been ten seconds, at the least.
I sighed and looked around the city.
Wasn't New York called the city that never sleeps? Well, they should look at this place, lights on 24/7.
It only took about, seven, eight minuets before Chase came bursting out or the air duct with a folder in his hand.
I stood up quickly, "What are you in a rush for?"
"Security cameras went off, they know I was there and we gotta go," he paused and we heard tires screech in front of the building and we saw three black vans there and men came out with pistols.
"Now!" Chase shouted grabbing my hand and pulling me away from the edge just when the guys shot their guns.
We both ran across the roof and jumped down at the back of the building and kept running until we got to his place.
"What's, in, the folder?" I asked when we sat down to catch our breath.
"Files, of the others like us." He answered after he caught his breath.
"Well, let me see!" I said excitedly reaching for the folder.
Chase pulled it back so I ended up falling on his lap and got off him quickly with a slight blush, Chase saw and smirked.
"Just let me seeeeee...." I wined.
"Fine, calm down."
I smiled happily and Chase opened the folder revealing pictures of people, and their information.
"So, these are the others?" I asked taking a couple of pictures out and looking at them.
Chase nodded looking at a couple of pictures himself.
The two I had were both boys, names are Jason Philips and Andrew Anderson, and they're both best friends and they each, live, here, in California...In this city, but it doesn't say the exact place.
Jason was my age, and Andrew was a year older, Jason had short brown hair with a tiny bit of facial hair, purple, eyes, very bright, like mine and Chase's....
Andrew had black hair, kinda like Chase's, pitch, black eyes, kinda have a dull look to them....
"These two both live in here, in the city." I told Chase handing him the papers.
"Same with these two." He said handing me his papers.
I looked at them and they were both girls, Carla Summers and Lilly Summers, sisters I guess.
Carla has almost red eyes and blonde hair long hair with red highlights and Lilly has green eyes with pink outlines, and almost white hair.
"Do you think they all live in the same place?" I asked Chase.
He nodded, "Only four of them, it could be possible, but we need to find them, they could help us."
I nodded, and looked for more papers in the folder and only found two, I took them out and looked at them.
One was a list, of all the 'experiments' that have been destroyed already, almost fifty of them....
And the other paper was of people they haven't even found or don't know where they are yet, and those people were.... Chase and me...
"Hey, look at this." I handed Chase the papers and he looked at them carefully.
"Then we need to keep it that way, if they don't know where we are yet, then they're still trying, and we can't stay at the same place we're at now."
"But they haven't found us at our homes, so they probably won't..." I tried to defend the chance of staying home and not leaving.
Chase shook his head, "They'll find us eventually..."
I sighed and hung my head knowing he was right, I still don't like to be around someone I just met, and now he's telling me that I have to leave my home and find the others that ain't human like me...
"Fine..." I said breaking the silence and stood up.
"Whatcha doin'?"
"Goin' home, so I can start packing, you should do the same if your so eager to leave and drag me with ya." I grumbled.
"Hey, it's not like I want to, I'm doin' this for your safety."
"You know how hard this is for me, it's all still hard to believe, I've always known I was different, but not like this, I've had a stalker most of my life, I'm not human, and now I have to abandon my home that I've lived in for only a month, just on a damn hunch!" My fists were clenched right that my knuckles were turning white.
Chase stood up and glared at me, "If you ignore this 'damn hunch', it'll cost you your life!"
"Does it look like I care?!"
"You should!"
"Well I don't!"
Chase was standing in front of me looking down at me and I was glaring up at him.
'Why, why is this my life..?'
"You've always been a pain in the ass, why do I have to watch you..." He mumbled at the end turning away from me.
"You know what, forget everything, all of this, I'm gunna forget ever meeting a damn ass like you, and you can just forget about me, forget being my damn protecter, I can take care of myself, I've never had people care about me my whole life, so why start now."
After that being said, I turned and walked to the exit.
"Aiden wa-!"
The door was already closed and I was leaving for good.
