As the divine, but all too curious kitsune of the Grand Narukami Shrine glanced down at the sight before her, wordlessly observing as the Shirasagi Himegimi had hid herself behind her fan, strolling alongside a girl the Guuji had never once seen before, it was needless to say that her interest had piqued.

Though Yae hadn't been quite sure of what had caught her attention in the first place, she, for once, didn't believe it was a result from being in the presence of the Frostflake Heron herself. It wasn't an insult to Ayaka's character at all, as Yae believed that she had earned every ounce of the respect that her image had bestowed upon her, yet, still, the Guuji sensed that her intrigue lied not in the girl loved and adored by all who saw her, but in the girl whose story had yet to be told.

Deeply encouraged by her sudden spark of curiosity, Yae peered forward to take a closer look at the girl next to Ayaka, and she nearly gasped in realization when her keen violet eyes fixated themselves onto the stranger's arm.

Above the crease of her elbow was a tightly wound thread bracelet.

To the normal human eye, it looked like any ordinary bracelet made of thread—which, in all honesty, that's nearly all that it was—but, to those who had eyes keen enough to detect a soulmate bracelet, they knew that the delicate fashion in which the threads were woven together had signified something precious.

Yet, what was it doing, being paraded around in public on this mysterious girl's arm, without a care in the world? Yae had scoffed at this, and she wondered if the girl even knew the deeper meaning behind her style of bracelet at all.

In most situations, a human only wore their assigned soulmate bracelet whenever they were lounging around in the comfort and privacy of their home, as they were never adornments made to be flaunted. It was only when the soulmates had started to court one another that it would be deemed acceptable for either holder to wear their bracelets whenever they desired.

And, judging by the youthful appearance of the girl, Yae figured it was only a mistake in her choice of accessories, not that she had worn it because she was currently being courted by her soulmate.

At the sight of this, Yae let out a frustrated groan.

Oh, these foolish, foolish youths.

Still, however, whatever innate curiosity Yae felt stir inside earlier hadn't dissipated, much to her chagrin. She knew it was hardly any of her business to know about what went on in the romantic lives of those who lived in Inazuma, but oh, the prospect of it all was simply too much for her to ignore.

Maybe it was just the curse of her being the chief editor of Inazuma's largest light novel publisher?

With an exasperated sigh, Yae had taken yet another glance at the girl's arm, and this time focused on the bracelet's characteristics, noting the (F/C) threads that were mixed in with light blue threads, each color carefully woven into the other in such a way that made the bracelet extra appealing to the human eye.

She hummed thoughtfully as she noted the shade of light blue it was, and her ears twitched as amusement struck her deep, causing the earring that contained her Electro vision to dangle as it danced and shimmered in the veils of sunlight.

While Yae knew there was a whole multitude of different shades and hues of blue out there in the vast world of Teyvat, the exact shade that was used in the unknown girl's bracelet struck her as so familiar, and yet she couldn't place her finger on it at all, which frustrated her greatly.

After a few moments, deep in contemplation, the kitsune considered the possibility that she might as well just be losing her mind, as she connected lines out of dots that should never be connected, until suddenly, something in her brain clicked, and she finally remembered where she had seen that exact shade before.

In an effort to assure herself that she hadn't completely gone insane just yet, Yae looked down once again, and just as she was about to confirm that she had solved the mystery, she witnessed the girl get nudged by a shrine maiden, and, as if in response, moved her bracelet up the sleeve of her clothing, out of Yae's sight, which caused the priestess to release a sigh of disgust.

Just who finally told that child to wear her bracelet properly? I'll have them punished...

But, from the few glimpses she managed to capture alone, she still had a feeling her guess was correct anyways, and with that, a satisfied smirk formed from the corners of her lips as she chuckled to herself.

Oh, how very amusing indeed.

As Yae walked down the small staircase in front of the Sacred Sakura, towards the main area encircled by lanterns, both incredibly satisfied with herself and her wondrous findings, she finally stopped in front of the two women in order to properly greet them to the shrine.

With a respectful lowering of her head, Ayaka had politely introduced the unknown girl to Yae, and as Y/N nervously said her greetings, trying her best to mimic Ayaka's respectful poise, to the point of fiddling with her fingers as means to calm herself down whilst attempting to doing so, Yae had to bite down harshly upon her own tongue in order to prevent herself from chuckling or even vaguely being amused by not only her behavior, but upon knowing just who held the other half of the bracelet she now had hidden.

If the poor girl was getting this worked up over talking to her alone, then...

Oh, child, do you know just what on earth you're about to deal with for an entire lifetime?

Or, shall I say, who?

And, if she were to be wrong about any of this, which she rarely ever was, then at least she'd have a new light novel idea to suggest to her writers to bring to life for her publishing house.
