Flowers and dragons || Hualian (dropped)

The night felt longer than usual for Hua Cheng. He tossed and turned, unable to fall asleep.

He got up to get some water when he received a text from an unknown number.

He curiously tapped into it, the text read:

Why him?

Hua Cheng pondered over it, "Him? Whose 'him' referring to? Xie Lian?"

Hua Cheng was busting his brain trying to analyse the text but he soon just labeled it as a prank and blocked the number.

His brain reluctantly shut off, giving him the rest he needed.

The sun rays peeked through the curtain, it felt brighter than usual. Despite it being winter, Hua Cheng felt warm especially his heart.

Hua Cheng eagerly gets ready for work just like usual, his heart filled with anticipation to see Xie Lian after work.

He felt impatient, he really wanted to see him even for just a little bit but he could only restrain himself and continue plastering his customer service smile.

Right when it hits 6pm, Hua Cheng promptly closes the shop and quickly changes his clothes into something more presentable.

His steps were large, it took only a few to reach Xie Lian's store.

The bell on the door jiggles, followed by Xie Lian's warm greeting.

Xie Lian seemed slightly awkward today, perhaps not yet accustomed to this new relationship.

They stood opposite each other awkwardly, their movements stiff.

"Can I kiss you?" Hua Cheng mustered up the courage to ask.

Xie Lian was slightly flustered before slowly nodding.

Hua Cheng closes the gap between them and leans his face forward. He lightly pecks Xie Lian's peachy lips before retracting his head.

Xie Lian cheeks burnt slightly, he licks his lips to keep them moist.

Hua Cheng felt his lips burning from slight peck.

Yet again, both of them stood awkwardly, not a word exchanged.

"Uhm, let's go eat dinner now!" Xie Lian frantically exclaimed before rushing away, his figure slowly disappeared into the storage room.

The corner of Hua Cheng lips went up before he chuckled to himself, he couldn't help but think Xie Lian as a bunny hopping away.

Not long after, Xie Lian came out in a new set of clothes. It was blue overalls with a white shirt, it suited him very well. His hair was tied into a neat bun, he seemed to have a unique fragrance coating him.

Hua Cheng sniffed, it smelt of white lilies like the ones he gifted to Xie Lian. His heart fluttered slightly.

"Shall we go then?" Hua Cheng plastered on his most charming smile. Xie Lian gripped onto Hua Cheng's hand and nodded.

OMGOMGOMGOMGOMG XIE LIAN HELD MY HAND FIRST OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMMHOMHOMH

Hua Cheng's brain was going bonkers, he squeezes Xie Lian's hand tightly before making their way to their usual dinner spot.

"Ah, you're here again Xie Lian! You've been visiting us regularly!" Qing Xuan exclaimed happily as he led them to their seats.

Qing Xuan then noticed something different about their atmosphere together.

"Are you guys besties now or something? You guys seem closer."

Xie Lian laughed awkwardly and simply brushed Qing Xuan comment off, he quickly ordered their food and shooed Qing Xuan away.

"It seems people are catching on gege." Hua Cheng happily grinned, his face radiating his happiness.

"Yeah but what can we do haha."

Hua Cheng intertwines their hands and places it on the table, both of them exchanging warmth in this cold weather.

The temperature seemed to rise when they were together.

Suddenly, the pressure in the room fell, the temperature felt colder.

Xie Lian whisks his hands away and stares at the entrance. His pupils shaking.

Hua Cheng noticed, his eyes seemed to be filled with fear yet not?

Hua Cheng turns his head and his vision fell onto the person on the entrance.

He had a tall structure, his legs slim. Although he looked slightly old, it only enhanced his features. His eyes were gentle, he had a smile plastered onto his face.

His temperament was warm and friendly yet when he stepped into the store, it brought along the cold winter.

Suddenly his eyes flicked up, staring straight towards Hua Cheng.

No it wasn't Hua Cheng he was looking at, it was Xie Lian.

Hua Cheng knew this guy was bad news...

Yesyes, I wrote this to relieve some stress from my exams and studies. And yes, I'm gonna leave again for another 3 weeks. *wink*
