Halloween

Hehe, normal Halloween thing again

Ugh I shouldn't have written about my anime phase-

Halloween costume parties.

Who doesn't love them?

Kat.

Kat wasn't a big fan of parties in general, but Halloween parties? The thought alone sent shivers down her spine.

Halloween on it's own was great, but this party with a lot of realistic costumes was freaking her out.

Kat had the luxury of sticking with Jane though, until Jane was dragged away to dance by who Kat guessed to be Catalina. She should have guessed that

She uncomfortably looked around herself, her eyes landed on a bone chilling costume. With a way too realistic zombie mask.

She always kept them within her eyesight as a reminder for herself that it was in fact only a costume.

But she got the chills every time she was even remotely close to that person.

She wanted to keep her safe distance, while seeing them and not getting their attention.

And that proved itself to be harder than expected. The person behind the mask kept looking at Kat.

Honestly, Kat was horrified, she got the chills everytime they turned to her. That did not stop her from eyeing them the whole time.

When Kat lost sight of them in the crowd, she quickly found a peaceful and empty room where she could sit on a couch and wait this scary night out.

She sat down and hugged a pillow to her chest while she mindlessly scrolled on her phone.

After an unknown amount of time Kat heard the floorboards of the hallway creak. She felt her shoulders tense and almost gasped when the person with the zombie mask opened the door.

Kat pretended to be calm and not mind, she smiled, "hi?"

The person took the mask off and shook her head, as if trying to shake her hair to look presentable.

Kat's jaw almost dropped, holy shit, she was beautiful.

"Hi," the girl said, running a hand through her short hair, "sorry, am I intruding your alone space?"

"No, it's alright," Kat moved to the side and pat the spot next to her, "what are you hiding from? Creepy costumes?"

The girl sat down and chuckled, "no, worse. My ex."

"Oh," Kat nodded, "let me guess, also Henry?"

"Yeah, you too?"

"Mhm," she hummed, inviting the person that she was previously afraid of was easier than expected.

"I'm pretty sure I noticed looking at me a lot," the girl grinned, "do you like my costume?"

"Your costume is really cool, it scared me to death throughout the party."

"Hehe, that was more or less the point, what brings you to this very party, if you can't enjoy it with the costumes?"

"I was too scared to be left alone at home," Kat sighed, "Jane and Anne dragged me here. And now they both left."

The girl's smile turned excited, "friendly blonde and chaotic short girl who only wears green? I saw them, do you want to know where to find them?"

Kat shuddered, "no, I'm pretty sure I saw Jane make out with Aragon earlier, I can't look her in the eyes for a few days."
