I woke up, feeling my aching bones crack as I stood up and studied the forest. Something was wrong. I could smell it in the air. I padded over to my small pile of pray I had been saving up for the winter, took out a rabbit, and sat down.

Just as I finished, I heard it. It started as a small padding, but soon became a thunderous roar. I quickly abandon my half eaten rabbit and raced down the mossy path down to the riverbank. "Stick!" I yelled. "Are you there?" "What?" came the small grunt of Stick. "You were right, they have come! Please, if they come this way, tell them I wasn't here." I yelled back to Stick and raced off.

I dashed back into the forest and headed into the second camp I had made in the summer for this reason. In case I haven't told you, the enemy is Hailstorm, a single cat, with many badger-like cats, never cross their path.
