Your name is JOHN EGBERT and you are the sole living male in an all female family. You are called a Princess and are annoyed by this, but understand that you live with a tyrant whose bloodline has produced solely women for as long as they can remember.

Adopted or not, only a woman can have a legitimate stake at the throne and be an heir.

Your grandmother wants you to be a backup for your aunt, Jane, in case she dies or is no longer a legitimate heir in some way.

So you are forced to wear boring, and uncomfortable dresses when your grandmother visits you in your tower.

The seamstress is really nice and most of your clothes secretly have pants under them. She can't help you leave, but she can make your clothes fit you the way you want them to.

Your grandmother makes you wear padded dresses to make it look like you are very girly and dainty.

You hate this.

You can't leave and your grandmother controls what comes in and out of your tower. She has a few guards posted at the bottom of your tower.

Your life is very boring and barely anything happens and even rarer is you leaving your tower.

One day you receive a letter and flowers in your room when you woke up that morning. You don't know how that happened as it seems someone snuck into your tower. How worrying.

"Dear Princess,
You are invited to be the tutor of our king, Lord English. He will personally be picking you up. It would be wise to stay calm.", the letter read.

You are curious about how this could be and wonder if you should carry a small weapon on you.

Ultimately you decide to write back and hope for a quick reply the next day.

"Dear Lord English,
First off, why me? There are plenty of well educated aristocrats happy to interact with royalty. Secondly, I am not a Princess, my name is Prince John Egbert. If  you will, call me Prince John or Sir Egbert.

Lastly, what do I get out of tutoring you? What am I tutoring you in? I only know some indoors activities and have a basic education.

Am I to assume you did not get my grandmothers permission to ask me of this? I also assume I have no choice in the matter.", was the response.

You place the letter in the spot where you found the first letter and flowers when the sun began to set once more.
