Chapter 26

Chapter 26 -

Niall walked with me to put Stephen back to bed. Stephen's room was the normal five year old boys room...whatever that was. He had blue walls with dragons and knights all over. His bed had a dragon as the headboard. Stephen's room was decked out with medieval stuff. I pulled the covers over my brother and put his stuff dragon next to him.

"I love you, Steph," I kissed his forehead, "Everything is going to be alright. No more monsters will chase you and if they do, tell them you've got a sister with a wicked uppercut." Stephen's eyes begin to droop.

"I love you too, Bryli." Then Stephen was out like a light. Niall and I backed out of Stephen's room and went back to my room.

"Your brother is adorable," Niall told me as I closed my bedroom door behind us.

"Thanks, he's a great little brother. When I was dating some guy from my other school, Steph tried to hit him with a plush baseball bat. Steph didn't like him very much...neither did my parents," I said. I sat on the edge of my bed and Niall joined me.

"Why didn't your brother like him?"

"He wasn't the nicest guy ever. I'm not even sure why I started dating him."

"Did you love this guy?" I brought my knees to my chest and rested my forearms on them.

"I thought I did. At school he was so sweet, but when we were out together, he treated me like crap. I'd come home crying from our dates because he was being rude."

"What's this guy's name and where does he live?"

"Oh Niall, please don't do anything. I'm begging you. I've dealt with him."

"With your wicked uppercut?" Niall started to laugh and I did too.

"Yeah, I guess you could say I did." We stopped laughing because we didn't want to wake up my mother or Stephen.

"Actually, it was more like his parents found out how he was treating me and they made him end it."

"Who told them?"

"Well, I told them at first, but they didn't believe me because he'd act nice to me in front of them. Then my dad told them. Apparently they trust the words of a cop than the words of their son's ex girlfriend."

Niall kissed the side of my head and brought his mouth to my ear, "It's all right now because you've got me."

ugh...I wish I had a guy who would say stuff like that.....

well, technically I did...but I never met him...and he didn't go to my school...but I told him about the jerks at my school and he had said, "if I could fly, I would fly to you and rescue you from those jerks." I think I cried. no...I did...I seriously did.

my friends had told me they would see me dating a guy from a different school...which is probably true....hehe
