Levi, Erwin, Hange and all the others were surrounding the guy they kept "hostage".
When Levi caught the stranger, he immediately woke up Erwin and the others.
After Levi's short interrogation of course.
"So what are you doing here exactly?" Erwin asked, his arms crossed on his chest. A neutral expression was shown.
"To retrieve something important." Replied the stranger. They shuffled slightly on the ground. Intimidated by the three people in front of him.
"And what exactly are you trying to get?"
"A book to be specific." Said the stranger.
Hange's brows were knitted in thought before a light bulb went off in her head.
"Does this book your looking for, found in a chest?" She asked with a small smile. She crouched down so they could see to eye level.
The strangers eyes lite up.
"Yes. Yes it does." They said.
"Well it appears we have already found it. But that's not important right now." Erwin said.
He then uncrossed his arms before walking closer to them. "Is this...group of yours the cause of what happened to the village?"
"............" They stayed silent. Nervously glancing to the left and right sides of the area.
"I'll take your silence as a yes then." He sighed before taking a couple steps back.
"Oo!~" Hange gasped. "Can you read the book?" She questioned.
"Um..."
Levi gave a harsh glare, a fare warning to not lie. The stranger gulped before answering the question.
"Y-yes..only a little t-though.." They mumbled.
"Perfect! Than you can translate the book then." Hange left to go grab the book.

-Unknown's POV-
"The hells taking them so damn long. They were supposed to be here by now." I grumbled in annoyance.
'Did they perhaps run away?' I thought.
I set my feet on the top of my desk. Resting while thinking of another plan.
'If they did betray me, I can always find just kill them. But I doubt they did betray me...Hmmm...'
A couple knocks met the door. Getting my attention. "Leader?" Someone asked from the other side.
"Come in." I said. I set my feet off the desk and propped my hands below my chin.
The door knob turned, and one of my followers entered through the door way with a bow.
"What is it." I said.
"I have news about the fellow follower that left to retrieve the book." They announced.
I raised my brows. Waiting for them to continue.
"Well? Tell me already." I ordered, getting impatient.
"They were caught by a group of people. Apparently this group was camping at the village." They said. A slight tremble in their voice didn't go unnoticed by me.
"Shit." I mumbled to myself. I got up from my seat and walked towards my follower. Each step I took the more nervous they got.
"Who was responsible for covering our tracks?"
"I-I'm not s-sure.." They whispered, trembling with fear.
"....."
"Get out of my sight." I ordered.
"Yes sir." They stood up from their bow and speed walked out the door.
*sigh*
'Hmm...what should I do now?..' I pondered.

"What bullshit is this?" Levi hissed out in anger.
"Demons and rituals? That's weird." Hange thought out loud. She rubbed her chin in thought.
Erwin sighed. "Are you positive that's what it reads?" He asked.
"Y-yes. That's what it reads.." The stranger said.
"Well this is useless." Erwin mumbled.
"Tch."
"Well. Were going to be taking you back to our base where we'll further question you." Erwin said. He grabbed the book from the stranger handing it to Hange. He then left the spot and towards the cadets.
The stranger let out a sigh.
Hange soon left as well, mumbling about the book on her way to the horses.
Levi was still glaring at the stranger in disgust.
