Before me stood about 10-15 humans. Each holding onto a sword-like weapon that seamed attached to their hips. All were on alarm and cautious about my arrival.

I loomed at the closest one to me. They looked to be short for a man. Very grumpy face might I add. I bowed slightly in a greeting manner.

"Greetings Mortal." I said.

The man I looked at tensed for a quick second before relaxing slightly. "Which one of you summoned me?" I questioned while scanning over the group surrounding me.

"Me! I DID!!" A voice shouted. Their arm was raised and waving to get my attention. They made their way towards me as they grinned.

"Hello there, my name is M/n and I was summoned here through a ritual you have performed. When you tell me what you want or need me to fulfill a task for you, I shall do."

The human nodded their head in understanding as they spoke,
"Hello M/n! My name is Hange Zoe but you can address me as Hange!"

"Hello Hange. What shall I accomplish for you?" I asked, folding my arms as I waited patiently for her response.

She hummed in thought as she held her chin with her hand. Turning to another man to her left, she walked over and started conversing with them.

'To finally think I am in the between again. Although I wish I wasn't here to do someone elses bidding for once.' I thought. Inwardly groaning at certain memories.

Hange finished talking with the man as she walked back over to me.

"I have a selfish request to ask of you." She paused, waiting for my reaction.

I nodding my head for her to continue.

"I would like to ask that you stay with us and help with our humanity.....Is that to much to ask?" She said.

If I'm being honest, which I am, I was completely surprised by her request. Not even once has a mortal asked that of me. They usually ask for money or the perfect significant other they want in their lives. But this was something else.

"That is a huge task you have asked of me." I said.

She solemnly nods her head in agreement.

"I will do it of course. Obviously." I stated.

She gleamed in happiness as she bounced around. I stayed silent, waiting for her to be done with her happy emotions.

"I wasn't finished." I said with a smirk on my face.

It got quiet after that. Hange stopped smiling and the others held their weapons tighter as they widened their stance.

"Did you really think I was going to help you for free?" I looked at her eyes, intimidating them slightly as she glanced around herself.

I frowned when she didn't answer me.
"I'll answer for you then. No. I'm not doing it for free. I want something in return."

With a sudden look of determination, she stood her ground as she said "Alright. What do you want in return."
